This is it, really. The 'core' won us the first three, and the reason we lost the last two. As I mentioned in another thread, there's always way too much up and down with our good players.

The team has vocal leadership. The problem is the really good players we have are too hit and miss. Last night was a miss. The first period of the previous game was a miss. We know they can be great, we've seen it, the issue has always been you're never know what you're going to get on a nightly basis. Hopefully it's just one really bad game, but the PP looking like crap again doesn't really exude confidence. On to game six and the next unknown adventure.

Obviously it was bad, but I'm going to chalk it up to just having a really bad game. Yeah, not a good time, but if it was going to happen, I'm glad it was last night instead of a game seven or something. Probably their first really bad game in a month or so. Game four they weren't that great, but they were the better team after the first period and almost came back. Last night was a huge dud, and on home ice, looks even worse.

This is their first time facing adversity in the postseason. They did a great job with it during the season, so here we go. They may have gotten too big headed with the 7-0 streak. It's really put up or shut up right now.

Yeah, hope not, for his sake. That would be quite sad.

Chytil back in for game six?

I'm actually surprised he let it grow back. I thought he'd keep it bald all season.

Game six is Thursday, right? Damn, I'm going to miss it. That may be a good thing. lol

Big guys were fucking brutal tonight. Hopefully it's just one really bad dude of a game for them. Awful time to do it, though.

Maybe the worst performance in a home playoff game since game seven against Tampa in 2015?

Seriously that has to be it. They look exceptionally bad for a home playoff game with a chance to eliminate.
