  1. I've heard nukes work well in these spots. So...uh...get the football and turn the keys.
  2. I guess this was before game 2, but they were doing a real good job shutting teams down here. 1.15 xga/60 is rock solid, and given that they've been on the ice for 7GA since (possibly more since I think this is before game 2), you have to wonder if BrindAmour is playing the matchups well at home. Either way, I can't/won't dispute that they were not good in Carolina. Heck, "not good" covers them too much - they were atrocious, and getting them back to steady or flipping Jones in for Gus has to be a top priority. Also, if Chytil plays tonight, the Garden better cheer like mad every time the puck touches his stick because that kid fucking deserves to be supported after all he went through.
  3. Wonder what that looked like at MSG. That feels like BrindAmour getting a matchup to me, and in spite of Gus-Trouba not passing the eye test, they were (prior to game 3) like, the most solid D-pairing in the playoffs for the fancystats. I'd bet Laviolette was getting his matchups right until he didn't have control of them in Carolina.
  4. You'd think this team was down 3-1, not up 3-1. We took a period off against a team you can't do that against. We got bit. God bleeds. It happens. Just end them Monday.
  5. Probably - there's a few of those names that would be very difficult to brand and he'll put his thumb on the scale if he doesn't think he can make it work. Like, the Glaciers feels really ambiguous,
  6. it's a tongue-in-cheek joke because Qualtrics is one of the most pre-eminent survey platforms in the world.
  7. Super weird that the leading poll getter was the Yeti, but the team ended up being named the Utah Surveyors
  8. Open-ended polls are bad. Qualtrics - the company that made Ryan Smith a billionaire - is among the best polling software and methodologies available. They're going to lay some significant restrictions down here.
  9. You know he announced the bat mitzvah like.... "My niece steps to the podium. She recites, she's done! It's AN ADULT JEWISH GIRL!!!"
  10. Carolina's fanbase is broken in half right now. Shellshocked. Heartbroken. Flushed. They've turned on Brind'Amour. They're turning on the players. Go out on Saturday, slam our dicks on the ice like we're doing a Canadian Haka, and then enjoy another week off while every other team beats the ungodly shit out of each other.
