Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc

It hasn't been regular season Panarin (mainly because it's incredibly hard to maintain that level and pace in the playoffs), but it's not been anywhere near 2023 playoffs Panarin either. He's moving his feet, he's fighting for pucks, he's aggressive every time he has the puck and he shoots a lot. He has 3 GWG's, 7 points and a +1 (been a minus player every playoffs as a Ranger) in 6 games. Last night he played over 32 minutes, 3 points and 4 hits (most by any Ranger forward!). I was one of his biggest critics last summer and I spent most of the season saying "October is not April", but I'm happily eating crow now. He's doing it in May and I'm loving it.

He actually got an assist on the first goal doing exactly this. He just needed a real goal scorer from another line to help him with putting the puck in the net.

This is true, but the record with and without him is starting to feel like more than just a coincidence at this point.

I get the point, but I think as long as it's just one player it's no problem. It could be a big problem if we were to get an in-game injury or misconduct and suddenly play two players short. Just to do some simple math on this. Let's say Brodz played last night and got some shifts in the 3rd and OT. I don't think he would play more than Kakko, so let's say Brodz got 10 minutes (more than the entire Canes 4th line). That's 6 minutes more than Rempe played. I've seen Kreids, Mika, Trocheck, Wennberg, Cuylle and Roslovic taking shifts on the 4th line - so it's like what.. 1 minute less per player? I can't see that making any difference, even in the long run. I'm not opposed to the idea and I don't really care either way, but I just don't want to fuck with the mojo you know. We're 6-0 and we basically never lose with Rempe in the lineup. I'm not fucking with that for 8-10 minutes of Brodzinski.

He's like Bergeron with a hint of Marchand. Just a beautiful asshole to have on your team.

I'm leaning towards this as well. Trocheck doesn't look bothered at all and with the first round sweep we shouldn't have any problems with fatigue, at least not yet. And it's not like shortening the bench in 3rd periods/OT's is something only done with Rempe. Carolina literally just rolled 3 lines the entire OT. Noesen played 06:48, Comtois 06:19 and Kotkaniemi 09:15. We had Rempe playing 4 minutes and no one else under 11:25 (Kakko). Rotating Kreider/Zib/Trocheck/Wennberg/Cuylle on the 4th line with Goodrow and Vesey instead of Rempe late in 3rd periods and OT is no problem at all. I don't even think Brodz would've seen the ice in the OT last night, so I don't see the point in adding him. Chytil or maybe even Wheeler I can understand, but we don't no Brodz here.
