Jokes aside - when you’re in round 3 or 4 it’s never a bad thing to have decent depth. Having Chytil, Brodz and Wheeler as backup to injuries is a lot better than Brodz, Leczhyzhyn and Riley Nash.

I wanted to go for a Florida sweep, but I think Swayman will steal a game, maybe two.

I went with Vancouver in my bracket, but that was before Demko was injured. Silovs is decent, but you need more than decent to stop McDrai and the rest. Oilers in 7.

And I'm not taking Rempe out for Brodzinski anyway. It's only a question to take out Rempe if Chytil is 100% fit and good to go.

It just feels so lazy having the same guys every year. Some of them definitely deserves it, but Matthews? The guy is like 7th in PK ice-time among Toronto's forwards. I understand that teams don't want their goal scoring superstar to spend a lot of time on the PK, but then he shouldn't be a finalist for a trophy like this either. Without looking I would assume Mika is top 3 in PK ice-time for Rangers forwards and high up on the list for all NHL forwards. I'm also fairly positive no one has a better on-ice goal differential than him on the PK. This should actually be one of the most prestigious awards, but at the moment it's just a joke.

Hopefully I won't go 4/4 in the 2nd round - I have Canes over Rangers

Should just re-name this trophy "The reputation trophy" and give it to the same guy for 10 years straight, before the next guy gets it for 10 years.

Fuck

Only 12 SOG against after 40 minutes, including 4 PK’s. It’s been a masterclass in defense so far. Keep going and don’t sit back in the 3rd and we’ll win this.

Not a lot of ice-time for him so far. Was 4 min on the PK and the two PP’s combined was like 25 seconds.
