The isles of baseball thought they were going to sign Panarin (de grom) but he signed with the rangers instead.

I think the Mets would've matched the AAV, but not the years. As it stands now their rotation is not very good. I expect then to go hard and either get Rodon or Verlander.

lol Close, he's 40, but wants a three-year deal. He might actually have a better chance of being healthier than DeGrom despite his age. If it does happen, their rotation will have two old guys and then a bunch of mysteries.

Much prefer Verlander for 2 years to Jake for 5.

 

Love Jake. Seeing a lot of hate toward him. But he dropped his hints he wanted out and wasn’t comfortable in NY. It’s fine. It’s not for everyone. He was here and gave his all. When healthy, he’s the best pitcher in baseball. I hope he can stay healthy. It was amazing to see him at his best when he was the best I’ve ever seen at his absolute top notch.
