He might actually have a better chance of being healthier than DeGrom despite his age. If it does happen, their rotation will have two old guys and then a bunch of mysteries. RichieNextel305 Posted December 7, 2022 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Much prefer Verlander for 2 years to Jake for 5. Love Jake. Seeing a lot of hate toward him. But he dropped his hints he wanted out and wasn’t comfortable in NY. It’s fine. It’s not for everyone. He was here and gave his all. When healthy, he’s the best pitcher in baseball.
