Phil Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Whether you are tired of seeing posts about coronavirus, pizza, politics, or whoever ends up being the whipping boy this year, we've enabled a new feature for you: Ignore Topics. This plugin allows you to ignore any topic you choose so that it will not appear in your Activity Streams, Search Results, or in standard forum view. For example, if you are tired of hearing about Goodrow, and there's a popular topic on him in the Rangers' section, you can choose to ignore the topic by opening it and selecting Ignore Topic at the top of the thread list. This will effectively mute the topic for you, though there are a handful of small leaks in the plug-in. If someone tags you in the thread, for example, you will see the notification for being tagged. If you follow the link, it will take you to the thread. But you will not see new posts in that thread normally via search, forum view (the list of topics in a forum), or in your activity stream. If you wish to rejoin a topic you've ignored, you can do so by re-entering the conversation. From the standard home page view, you will still see the topic is active if it's popular, and you can still access it directly from the preview link, but you will not see it if you enter the forum itself. It's a little clunky, but my guess is the developer designed it this way to limit your ability to get back in as best as possible without completely shutting you out. Thanks, Phil 1
