Rare trade L for Yzerman here. Leddy sucks, and he somehow gave up a 2nd-round pick and Panik, who he retained on, in the deal. This should have been the Isles retaining and/or giving up their second just to move Leddy. Like the Rangers had to do with Staal.

Leddy will get traded at the deadline if not in the coming days, wings likely be dealing over half the players they currently have under contract at the deadline if they're even playing decent... Leddy, Nielsen, DeKeyser, Namesnikov, Fabbri, Griess.... also note they traded the Oilers second not theirs so it likely will be a back end pick assuming the Oilers at least get in before getting swept.
