I hate this getting the jump on anniversaries early. What's the rush? They started in October 1970. 50 years is 2020-21. It's also not their "50th Season" in 2019-20 because there was a strike season.

Uh, no, 50 years would be 2020. Which is five months away. A strike season is irrelevant. The Sabres didn't stop existing then.
