Phil Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Tavares is almost certainly going to be the runaway winner here, but I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I'm curious to see what Stastny looks like with Vegas, too.
josh Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 I think there were a lot of intriguing moves, guys fitting in well with their new teams. Neal, Tavares, O’Reilly/Bozak, Dahlin, and most importantly Ilya Kovalchuk!
ThirtyONE Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Tavares. Period. The Leafs are stacked offensively. That said, they still may be 3rd in their division considering their D and goaltending (in my opinion) is weak.
Phil Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 Oh, I totally forgot about Kovalchuk. I'm really interested to see him play again.
Gravesy Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Yeah, Kovy with the Kings is really interesting. I thought they were a couple of goal scorers away from being a really good team last season. To be fair they could easily have swung that Vegas series with just a couple of guys able to put the puck in the net.
paddynyc Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Tavares for sure and is he considered the number 1 center over Matthews? Of course, wherever Karlsson he winds up.
Future Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Fuck John Tavares and fuck the Leaves. ROR just because I'm curious and probably Dahlin, just because of how many Sabres games I watch.

Future Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Kings are old and slow. I don't get the move for them, personally. I think it makes sense. They're old and slow and took a risk on a high-upside player - think of it as a deadline acquisition. In a couple years, they're going to be full rebuild anyways.
