Long live the King
Phil Housley was hired as coach of the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. Housley spent the past four seasons as an assistant with the Nashville Predators. Prior to that, he was the coach of the boys hockey team at Stillwater (Minnesota) High School for nine seasons (2004-13). He also coached the United States to the gold medal at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship. Housley, 53, succeeds Dan Bylsma, who with general manager Tim Murray was fired April 20. He is the Sabres' 18th coach since they entered the NHL in 1970. https://www.nhl.com/news/phil-housley-hired-as-buffalo-head-coach/c-289942404
ThirtyONE
Didn't realize he was an assistant in Nashville for 4 seasons. I was thinking this was a strange hire but maybe not.
