Phil Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 While the Avalanche trade rumors focused on Duchene and Landeskog, reports suggest they would at least listen to offers for MacKinnon. For months, the Colorado Avalanche trade speculation focused upon center Matt Duchene and left winger Gabriel Landeskog. Center Nathan MacKinnon was considered among their few untouchables. But according to the Edmonton Journal's Jim Matheson, the Avs could listen to offers for the 21-year-old MacKinnon. He said some pro scouts believe they'll entertain trade proposals for everyone but rookie winger Mikko Rantanen. That would mean a significant shift for the Avs, perhaps even a sign of just how desperate management has become to find a suitable deal to reverse their fortunes. For the first time in MacKinnon's four-season NHL career, he leads the Avs in scoring (51 points) and could be considered their franchise player. http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/rumor-roundup-mackinnon-no-longer-considered-untouchable
phillyb Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Wouldn't McKinnon be a perfect candidate for a rebuild? I know he's had a lackluster season, but I think it'd be silly for the Avs to give up on him already.
Phil Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 He'd also be the perfect candidate for landing an elite defenseman. Think Johansen for Jones but bigger. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Would you do McD and a 1st for him?
Future Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Would you do McD and a 1st for him? It'd be the other way around. McKinnon and a first for Mac. And no, I probably wouldn't. Not now anyways.
phillyb Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 He'd be a nice piece to have, sure. But no way I'm trading McD, the way our blue line currently looks.
Vodka Drunkenski Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Raanta is awesome, let's trade him #MakeBSBHGreatAgain
