Ha, thanks man. :) I really want a (rescue) dog one day, but we just can't make it work right now. Hope you find someone soon!

Can you please tell me everything you know? Good with kids? Where is he now? Healthy? The family that's interested is asking a ton of questions, and rather than keep posting each question as they ask it, whatever you could tell me would be tremendously helpful.

I do not know all the specifics. I know he is in the ball park of 1 year old. He seems perfectly healthy. I was told he had all his shots but i do not have any paper work. He is living with me right now in queens. He is good with kids but small.. I would be a little worried about kids hurting him more than him hurting them. He still needs some training for sure but he does learn. He follows me around all day long and tries to cuddle all the time. Barks when he hears weird noises but i would not say he is overly loud. I have yet to see any agression from him. Very docile. Just a happy puppy.

Perfect! I'll forward this along. I think they're really interested though, and I can tell you they'd be terrific owners.

I would take him in bc I want a dog, but I'm out of the house for 12-16 hours a day. On the plus side, I live 1 block from a dog park lol

Richter... do you think this family would be good to the dog? take him to the vet regularly.. feed him right.. keep him inside and walk him often? give him lots of love and attention?

I feel like this guy has gone from home to home to home and I really dont want to send him anywhere that will not be a great home for him.

"Go big or go home."

I'm trying to go to a new home myself, haha. Not the right time to bring this guy into my apartment, only to have to move again so soon.

Honestly yes. We've known them for years and they are REALLY good people. I won't lie though, they're going to be first-time dog-owners. If you're looking for someone with experience with owning a dog, ie: how to train them, what to feed, what to avoid, etc. I'm not sure that they'll know all that. But I can tell you that they are terrific people, very kind, friendly, and loving. Way active in the community too. They're just...do-gooders.

What I can promise is a ton of love, what I can't promise is a ton of experience. You follow?

I told my dad about this dog and he asked for me to email some pictures to him so we may be interested incase it falls through with your family, Richter.

YES! Congratulations, you did a really good thing. I haven't stopped thinking about the dog. The family that was interested kept flip-flopping: the mom and kids wanted to dog, the dad said they didn't have the money. He just lost his job. I was worried that they weren't going to do it in the end.

I'm happy Austin has a new home! Once again, thank you for doing that for him. The last thing this world needs is another pet in a shelter without a family.

When you go to sleep tonight you had better be grinning like an idiot, because you just made a family's life, and you made that dog's life too. Good work...sincerely.

Yea my co-worker, though I dont know her too well, was realllly excited about getting him. she also agreed to send me updates and pics so I was really happy about that. My girlfriend, and mom both cried as we were giving him away. Only had the little guy for about two weeks but we grew really attached to him. He definitely deserves a good home and I am happy I found him one.

Should I ever run in to you before a Rangers game, you get a night of free booze on me.
