Tony Sly, Singer For No Use For a Name, Dies at 41

Recommended Posts

Of all the new school Epitaph-y type bands of the 1990s, they were one of the best. Now, singer and guitarist Tony Sly has died. He was only 41.

A cause of death has not been released yet.

The news was broken by the band?s longtime label, Fat Wreck Chords.

Said label owner and NOFX frontman Fat Mike: ?One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed.?

NUFAN was really big in the punk scene in the 90's, so this is pretty sad news for me personally, since I listened to a lot of those acts (NOFX, Lagwagon, Bad Religion, etc) at the time.
