  1. Why? He's never had a particular purpose. He has no influence over the plot and never really has. I mean what do you think's going to happen - he's going to show up and kill Jon Snow or somethign?
  2. No kidding. What I'm saying is that he doesn't add anything. He has a place, technically, but he doesn't need to, so the whole scene was pointless and any time spent on Sam finding out how to treat him is a colossal waste of time.
  3. That would require a lot of time spent on Sam helping Jorah, especially since Jorah doesn't really have a place in the show anymore.
  4. More poop than I expected, tbh. This was a good season intro. Covered a lot of ground and was at least entertaining enough that it didn't have just the feel of a catchup episode. I'd imagine things are going to move very, very quickly now.
  5. I thought so too, but each season has gotten funnier when I re-watched it, so maybe it will be better when I can binge.
  6. I'm not really a wrestling guy, but I've been listening to that new guy, Sinsuke Nakamura's entrance music non-stop.
  7. I'm not really a wrestling guy, but I've been listening to that new guy, Sinsuke Nakamura's entrance music non-stop.
  8. This wasn't the most exciting trailer ever, but there's going to be a lot of cool shit. Too many storylines to even think about how everything goes down, I just hope they finally prove or disprove R+L=J
  9. Pretty good breakdown with a bunch of video... http://www.blueshirtbanter.com/2017/4/5/15186468/day-finishes-ohl-season-on-strong-note His skating alone is worth watching.
  10. I lost my shit at that. It was basically a dire wolf.
  11. That was the worst season finale yet, and that includes the cliffhanger last season. In a series that is ostensibly ridiculous, that was...ridiculous lol
  12. Yea, I actually thought his schtick was annoying from day 1, but mostly I think that's just because it was how he was written. There's no nuance to his persona at all.
  13. Isn't that what they've done for........everything? I actually agree that Negan should die, but he's such a popular character that I bet he doesn't. My money is on a cliffhanger at the end of the season where we don't know if he dies or not.
  14. I think he'll just call him Igor or Iggy or something.
  15. Albert's voice just sounds like he's always on the radio lol
  16. I mean I was kidding around as that's a ridiculous expectation, but in terms of play style he really is similar to Karlsson. I've seen him compared to Tom Poti, in terms of how he projects, but idk how realistic that is or not.
  17. Yea Burns is ridiculous, he's more like Erik Karlsson lol He's got an NHL skillset now, if the mental side of the game clicks, he could be up sooner than later.
  18. In a show full of ridiculous storylines that go nowhere, Michonne and Rick is the worst one lol. I actually didn't mind the fragmented storylines this season as much as I have in the past, as it was always pretty clear where they were headed. But it does basically mean that you'll know what's going on in the last couple of episodes of the season without watching something like the first 8 which, in the grand scheme of things, amounts to "Negan and the Saviors are bad" and "there are a lot of people who want to fight them."
  19. Lennie Bruce died in 1966. I think you mean Lennie James lol "It's a fucking anti-aircraft gun, Vincent."
  20. He's had some family issues that would really hurt the development of a 17-18 year old. For one thing, I think he's moved a lot in his life and his mom has lupus which has hospitalized her. But, more directly, his brother got sent to jail for vehicular manslaughter (or whatever Canada's version is) when he was driving drunk and killed a woman. Day has openly said that it impacted him on the ice. He's also been open about how some of the critics for his exceptional status got in his head. Decent enough article about it: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/ohl-steelheads-exceptional-player-sean-day-opens-up-about-life-off-the-ice/ People forget that players in junior are teenagers and a lot of the stuff that, at times, even gets to NHLers can have a major impact. Edit...this one is probaly better: http://www.mississauga.com/sports-story/6257825-day-gets-off-ice-struggles-off-his-chest/ The kid has caught a lot of flack for seeming disengaged, but he probably deserves a lot of credit for just continuing to play.
  21. I wouldn't give up on Halverson either. He's still got a ton of upside.
  22. Well, Kovalchuk and Datsyuk are both on the team lol But I don't think that's an indictment of his play. His numbers are far better than the backup. His numbers were just a bit better than Ilya Samsonov, who the Caps drafted in the first round in 2015..just for some context.
