Dude, that's freakin' awesome!!! Maybe one day soon she gets the call to play with the big team!!! ...here's hoping!!!
Well, I jinxed it. The Rangers bailed on Jacksonville and now the Icemen are a Sabres affiliate. Just announced it today......

I'll bet the games are crazy too!!! I'll have to check on some of the streams. Love the "Solar Bears"....great name too!!!
The Solar Bears are a Lightning affiliate out of Orlando, they sponsor a team in the Southern Girls Hockey League for girls ages 8-18 called the Lady Bears. My daughter is a goalie on the 16 year old team. They're a great organization (apart from the Lightning affiliate), and do a lot to help grow the sport. We're 2 hours from Orlando so she practices in Jacksonville with the team there sponsored by the Jax Icemen which are a Rangers affiliate, but they don't have a team in her age group otherwise I'd be able to say my daughter is a goalie in the Rangers organization.....

"Let go" is pretty broad, was he fired? Was it a mutual decision? Was it a financial negotiation that broke down? For all we know he decided to leave for personal reasons, and the team "let him go" so he can collect on the remainder of a contract (like unemployment). Hopefully at some point we'll get the full story, the fact that he hasn't said anything (or the team hasn't really elaborated) makes me think it was wasn't a "firing". But WTF do I know, I picked Rangers/Oilers in the finals........

Best way to end the rough stuff from the Caps, lay out #8. Fuck this untouchable shit, he's as dirty as the rest of that team, hard shoulder to the head.....

Poor Halak. Two starts in a row with no support.
Two goals aside, he played a really good game…..

Man that goal announcement was like 12 minutes long, pretty much told us the guys whole life story…..

Trouba’s dad is a big dude…..

3-1 Rangers. Goal scorers: Trocheck, Trouba, Zibby (empty net).

Ok, so they call the penalty, the Avs serve it and bury the game winner as soon as they're back at ES. Tampa was absolutely gassed in that OT.

Gallant did a great job all year and they got farther into the playoffs then we expected, plus he is far better than AV or Quinn. Did he make mistakes sure all coaches do just like players do.
It must tell us something if GG played a 60% healthy Strome over a 100% Kakko which I bet GG got sick and tired of Kakko not back checking, playing physical enough or aggressive. For me Kakko is another pussy and bust like Anderson and needs to be delt in the upcoming season.
Panarin is the other issue and a playoff bust except it one great goal against the Pens. Extremely predictable with the puck as he always goes down the left side boards, primarily stays there and usually dishes the puck off. Find another 90 point season LW and trade Panarin for someone who wants to play.
Fox while great seemed like in another world in the Tampa series and did not have the fire. According to the post game with Mika/Krieder they said fatigue was not a factor
IMO where they pissed at GG in game 6 with the line changes or was Tampa (back to back cup winner) just a little better. On any giving day I would take Igor over Vasilesky as we exposed how bad he is blocker and glove side. Tampa defense makes him look good and we will see how the Avs destroy him as they wont keep the Avs playing just around the perimeter.
We need a better backup for Igor then Georgiev as look how the Av's got to playoffs without Kemper at times.
Off season who has to go Kakko, Strome, Rooney, Georgiev, Hunt, Braun and Nemeth. Blais coming back could fill in the 3rd or 4th line, with some stronger roster additions (depending on cap space) the team will look a little different at the beginning of the season and we will be back in the Eastern Conference final
Unrestricted free agents should sign Copp and Vatrano as I would like to see how well Copp does for a full season here. Copp may be to expensive to keep but make it work. Restricted free agents Keep Blais and Gauthier.
Could the team afford Johnny Hockey , Dump Panaran or add Johnny and keep both?????????????? - Due you really keep Reaves as did he add anything to this team?
Diamond in the rough maybe dump Georgiev for Blues Free agent Lindgren only 750,000
UPCOMING SEASON WILL BE EVEN BETTER !
I honestly think that Fox is still hurt from the injury that sidelined him around the all star break. Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear he's having some kind of surgery in the next few days.

It was a fun ride, a team that not many predicted to even make the playoffs took the defending champs to game 6 of the ECF. As much as I dislike Tampa, it was a good opportunity for the kids (and front office) to see first hand what is required to become a cup winning team, most cup winning teams were once where we are now, and at some point we will be among them.
It'll be interesting to see what happens over the summer, who stays, who goes, who comes in etc.... and for the first time in a very long time I am pumped for next season.

Different team next year.
No Strome, Copp, Braun, Motte and possibly Kakko ( after being scratched in an elimination game in favor of Hunt, he's going to search for an offer sheet)
I'd like them to hold onto Copp and maybe Motte, the others can go.

I'm curious to see if Panarin was playing hurt. His game seemed off.
True, even at the end of the regular season......

Within the next week or two I won't be surprised to hear about Fox, Goodrow, Lindgren and maybe Motte all going under the knife to fix injuries they'd been playing through.....

They had a great run, exceeded expectations (no one expected them to even make the playoffs at the beginning of the season) and overachieved. The future looks bright indeed.

Well you knew it wasn't gonna be a sweep! Bad combo of them turning it on and us going to sleep after going up 2-0. They really need to play a full 60 against this team, they're starting to find their game.....

Saw that coming down main street. Gotta ratchet up the intensity that they had in the early parts of the second, wear them down and put shots on net.....
-
Need to keep the fast pace up, it's wearing them down and frustrating them.

Vasifucksky's body language after that second goal shows that he's defeated, keep pushing and throwing pucks at him.

Regardless of who wins it (and I think it's the Canes to lose) I hope it goes 7 and that the remaining 6 games all go into quintuple overtime.....
