  1. Always to fucking all the time. It's a complete crapshoot - the whole thing is under construction.

I'd say its consistently bad from ~7AM-->10AM going into BK and from 3PM-->7PM both ways.

  3. Hah! Orientation is fun - I worked the program so I would know. You get tons of swag too. Buy some Binghamton stuff (a hoodie and a t shirt minimum....and actually if you get me a travel coffee mug I will pay you back. Mine broke and I haven't been up since).

You're a transfer, so your orientation is going to be HECTIC.

As far as classes go, they tend to partition them off - so each orientation session has a fair shot at the classes. If there's a class you REALLY REALLY want, make that your first priority entry. Even if you don't get it, watch the class during the first week - lots of drop/add.

  7. I'd avoid Newing for now. It's under heavy construction, as is Dickinson.

I actually recommend that, based on your choices - CIW if you prefer being social, Mountainview if you don't.

  9. Thanks!

SoM has a pretty strict schedule - they'll probably have locked you into the classes you need to be taking. If not, they'll give you the list and tell you what you need to be taking :D

  11. That might prove a bit rougher. I know that Newing (where I lived) is no longer really "there" - its under heavy construction.

    Basic rundown is as follows:

Dickinson - Corridor style (for the time being), known for being something of the "minority" dorms

Newing - Corridor style (again, for time being. I think Bingham and Broome, which are buildings in the community, have finished construction and are now suite style) - Frat rep. Good people here, but you have to deal with the frat/sorority crap in some buildings. I lived in Endicott, which because of the one chem-free floor (avoid at all costs, though i met my best friends on that floor), is frat anathema.

College in the Woods (CIW) - corridor style, stoners.

    Hinman - Lame. Ignore.

Mountainview - Suite style - no real rep yet....very new community. If anything, the rep is antisocial and "spoiled" to an extent, since their shit is NEW, though that rep may spread to Newing soon.

  17. bit unusual. SoM is widely known as the best bang for your buck business school on the east coast, so it gets pretty competitive.

  19. CIW is forced interaction. It's NOWHERE NEAR AS NICE AS MOUNTAINVIEW (theres your disclaimer) but I havent ever met people who wanted to leave CIW.
