i just keep going back to who is going to speak up in this locker room. this franchise just coddles the shit out of its players. no one ever seems uncomfortable. no sense of urgency.
They are getting out hit too. never thought carolina could do that to them but sevechnikov is running around unchecked out there.

The first ten minutes of the third, with a chance to close out the Canes, was terrible. The key for me is how the locker room handles it. Does a player step up and say we have to be better? Or is it all good and we’ll just roll out for game 6, it’s fine?
Yup. Spot on. It’s easy to see how strong the locker room is when you blaze through the first seven games. Now you get to see what they made of

canes had there game. this ends tonight. i'd start rempe and wreck them along the boards where they seem comfortable shooting at igor.
j/k. i think they just take care of business behind a pumped up n.y. crowd that smells blood.
-
vally's on point in the post game. the canes shooting from the perimeter so often is almost gold for igor. gets to see nice clean shots which puts him right on his game.
also pointed out zero adjustments for the canes. feels like we're facing AV a bit.

Goal scorers goal to win it
this is the calmest I’ve ever been watching the rangers in the playoffs
this team is something to behold

This was a good tone setter. You take game 1 and put them on there heels.
takeaways:
1 PP was lethal. can really get in there heads if it continues like this against the best PK in the league.
2 denied the team that takes the most shots... well shots.
3 Physicality is no issue here. we have the horses to dish it out and deal with it.
4 The big guns performed. A big question for me going into the playoffs was who is stepping up in the room. So far the question is being answered by Bread Zibs and my early Conn smyth candidate Vinny.
5 was funny that Bread and Rempe had equal ice time in the 1st period.
6 Igor was great but while we kept them on the blue line and boards all nite i still think the defense in front of Igor can be better. seems like we rely too much on the security blanket.
7 good to see the forwards blocking the lanes.
funny thing is 5 games in and i dont think we've approached playing our best complete game yet.
Garden is a zoo. such an advantage.
ESPN announcing regardless of the sport remains awful though Mess and Pk are entertaining in the intermission.
This ones over in 5.

hammer that 1st and 3rd line, this series is over.
1-3-1 in front of Igor.
Rempe on the loose.
we got this
-
I think we win in six. I think you have to play Rempe even if he is shelved during the third period in tight contests.
They definitely need to tighten up the defense in front of Igor though.
My biggest concern was if they had the postseason leader ship in the locker room. I’m not concerned anymore because I believe Trocheck has assumed that mantle. He is a man on a mission. For as good as Chris and Zibs are I never felt that way about them. Bread man is playing possessed as well
This should be edge of your seat lump in your throat hockey buckle up your chin straps

I’d be worried if I was the Craps. Rempe getting wasted 60 times in Halo by Kreiter means he’s going to take it out on somebody.
RUROH, Rempe needs some Scooby snacks

The Rangers have won their last 12 games with Rempe in the lineup. The Rangers are 17-2-1 overall with Rempe in the lineup since he made his debut in the outdoor game Feb. 18. There is value there and it is palpable and the Rangers are riding his wave.
There is a lot of teaching being done behind the scenes you read it in every article. This guy is in the heads of everyone in the league from Bettman on down. You can see it every time he’s on the ice he’s practically got an escort from the referee.
The spillover effect on this team is the physicality you’re seeing from guys like Schneider will even Miller and Laf It’s a good problem to have I take it every day- 2

Rempe is definitely in the caps heads and everyone in the league for that matter. It’s almost not even fair. If I was him and someone tried to goad me I’d be taking names for payback next season. It’s all about 35 pounds of silver right now. He has to be smart
-
I’m really liking the way this team stands up for each other Rempe aside Cooley Schneider Miller Truva nobody’s taking anything
-
Be good to take this in for the other series look like they will go the same way
It just looked like the cabs quit at the end

glad to see his commitment and dedication is paying off. new york is a tough place to do this but he is getting it done. says a lot about his character and someone we should want to invest in long term. kid probably takes the C at some point down the line if this path continues. Next thing you will see out of him is the snarl, which he was touted to have playing in the lower leagues.
Training takes time. i've totally changed my lifestyle from jan of 23. cut off alcohol, all kinds of sugar, high protein intake and 2 hours a day in the gym 5-6 days a week. lost 60 lbs over the year and the difference is amazing. not blowing my horn here but the point is it takes a lot of time and patience. not to mention he was still growing.
overall just a great thing to see. kid stepped upto the challenge. well playeed

hopefully just a hyper extension. whats the draft kings line whether he starts game 1?

They’re going to have to take Sam out in a coffin

Obviously you have to like what you are seeing since Trouba went down. Schneider has been very noticeable out there as has K'andres game as well. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Miller has been on record saying his game has not been where he's wanted it to be.
Schneider's game has definitely taken a more physical edge of late. Is it a Remke effect at work or that he feel's the need to kick it up a notch with the Cap down. most likely its a combination of the two.
No matter where he plays upon his return, we need the Captain for a deep run, despite where he plays in the lineup. This time off could be just the ticket as we will have him back fresh in the next weeks. Reminds me of the old Islanders dynasty where Potvin or some other top guy would get an undisclosed injury a few weeks before the playoffs started.
As to Schneider I will always remember JD's intensity in the war room on draft day when we moved up to take him. It was so cool they caught that on camera.

I think we did the best that we could given this year‘s circumstances. I really believe the answer to a deep run this year lies within the rooms already existing pieces. The leaders of this group have to step it up and take it to the next level. To quote Mike Rupp they have to be comfortable playing uncomfortable

how old is that prucha pic?

thats the type of move they should be looking to make.

i'd go with vatrano and take our chances. there's no sure fire stud out there this year unless drury really goes outside of the box.
this is the rangers remember going on 30 years, which is a lifetime by the way.
i've said it a thousand times. it's very comfortable to play here, they are coddled. i'm not sure they really have the guts to win 4 rounds, unless they bring in someone with respect that would kick a little ass in the room. don't think that guy exists in the room at present.

I love the optimism on this board but come on guys we’re ranger fans this things going seven
That team for checks like a motherfucker and they are very hard to play against this is going to be a really hard fought physical series
they have some really world class scorers, big time goalie and a really solid blue line. Prepare for another two weeks of agonizing mental torture
Still in the end I think we prevail which will be a good thing because what awaits in the west is going to be no easy task.
Wouldn’t have it any other way
