  1. What they need to do is remember how they felt after being embarrassed in game 7 by the Devils last year and decide if they want to relive that incredible failure OR do whatever the fuck they need to do in order to close the series out in game 6. Every single player needs to decide that they are willing to play outside their comfort zone and do anything and everything it takes to win this series. That means backchecking your ass off every second of every shift, finishing every hit, winning every 50/50 puck battle, making Andersons night a living hell by crashing the net, pounding their D in the corners, and getting in the Canes faces every chance they get. If it means fighting, then drop the fucking gloves. They have to play game 6 like there is no tomorrow. They can be the better team and it is all in their hands, so either they want it more than the Canes or they don't.  If they lose this series, it's time to blow it up.

There’s arguments to both sides about Rempe playing or not and I understand both of them.  But, 8-7 record without him in the lineup should be speak loudly in my opinion.  There’s an intangible to him playing that really is hard to fathom or explain.  Doesn’t matter if he plays less than a minute or 6 minutes.

Common sense once again.  I quality many posters here lack.

I’d rather not see Brodz ever again. If Chytil cant go, i’d rather see Rempe and his 5-6 minutes of icetime. This kid could be Moshiach for the Rangers who could bring us to the promised land.  You dont have to play him, but when he’s dressed he brings us glory.

Common sense is a nice thing to see.

Please stop with the Rempe insanity, it’s so dumb and annoying at this point.  You honestly think a player who spends more time in the penalty box than on the ice is going to change last night?  But you're calling others fools and telling them to learn the game?  Wow!  Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

And for the love of God, learn the English language, it’s couldn’t  careless.

Oh look, it's Pete's mommy.  You can waste someone else's time too fool.  I will post my opinion whenever I want.

So yet again you don't have a specific answer.

By what specific metric did the hurricanes dominate the first period? And what does that have to do with the rest of the game?

You're telling me to learn hockey, you think a fourth line scrub is the reason we lost the one goal game. Please, teach me about hockey. Put your knowledge on display for all of us to learn.

And then when you're done, you can let us know if you are Rempe Dad, or his Agent.

The 4th line scrub that has 2 goals in 129 minutes of playing time on the 4th line vs Chytil who skated 150 mins as 2C between Laffy and Panarin to start the season and scored exactly ZERO goals. How is that even possible?  I bet even you could skate 10 games between those two wingers and get one to bounce off you into the net.  Yes, Chytil is the playoff savior even though the team was 6-0 with Rempe in the line up.

And you got a specific answer, you just don't like it or are to dumb to understand it.  And where are the specific answers to my questions: What did Brodzinski do tonight to help the team?   NOTHING.  What did Chytil do in game 3 to help win the game?  NOTHING.  They won game 3 on Igor's back and our great PK unit that scored a shortie and shut down the Canes PP. No need to answer because you obviously have no clue.

IMO, you're a fool and know nothing about how to win an NHL hockey game. It's thinking like yours that has brought all of 1 Stanley Cup to NYC in over 80 years.

You don't like my opinions, good for you but I could care less because there are no reasons to suffer fools in this lifetime. Waste someone else's time.

I don't think Rempe would have made much of a difference.  In the 1st period, they looked lazy and weren't skating with any purpose.  Rempe would have possibly made more of a difference in Game 3 when the 'Canes were getting chippy.  That may have stopped a bit of that stuff.  In Game 4, less chippiness and less penalties.

We'll never know if he would have made a difference since he didn't play.  At this point it is all conjecture.

Very true, we will never know.  But, you say they looked lazy and I agree, but is that the case if Rempe is dressed and in the first shift puts a big hit on someone?  My guess is the entire team picks up their game and that is part of his value to the team.

I asked what specifically could have been done. You have no answer.

The Rangers control the majority of that game. It was no physical domination happening at all. Carolina had two more hits recorded that the Rangers, on home ice where the score keeper will be more generous with hits for Carolina.

So the answer is you don't have a fucking answer.

But I have to learn about hockey? Please continue to embarrass yourself.

I gave you a fucking answer, you just don't like it and that is your problem.  Learn about hockey.  Maybe ask a Devils fan what Rempe could have done to turn that first period domination by the Canes around, maybe they can open your eyes a little....but doubt it.

I’m ok with being upset about Brodzinski over Rempe, and I said as much in the Rempe thread, but pretending that is why that first period happened the way it did is really just flat out inaccurate.

The Rangers got overwhelmed by a hungrier team that is forcing players not named Brodzinski to make mistakes. That’s it.

OR, perhaps a well timed hit or fight by Rempe early on in the period wakes the Rangers up and they don't get overwhelmed?  But we will never know.

I don't care about Carolina. If they want to do the same dumb shit, that doesn't make it a good idea.

How did Vegas win last year? They had four lines and three defense pairs that they rolled. They won with depth.

Comtois dressed because Kuznetsov took a stupid high sticking penalty that the Rangers scored on which eventually wound up being the game winner.

None of them care about Rempe because they know the NHL is neutering him. Which is another conversation entirely.

Yeah right, Comtois willingness to drop the gloves had nothing to do with that decision. LOL.  And how much time did the Rangers have to rest after sweeping Washington?  The answer is plenty.  And if they can manage to knock out the Canes in 4 or 5 games they will get more rest between series, so your overworked player argument is absurd.  The only focus should be on winning and doing it as fast as possible, so changing a line up that is on a roll is counter productive to that goal.

People who are saying they don't care about how many minutes he plays really should be.

Because our best players are soaking up those extra minutes, and it will make a difference in rounds three and four.

Tired players make mistakes, and tired players get hurt.

The main debate is not whether or not Rempe should play. The main debate is that you can't dress a guy and play him for 4 minutes, no matter who he is, or what role he serves, and have that be sustainable over the course of the entire playoffs.

Is it?  Tell Rod that because he is playing basically 9 forwards a night against the Rangers.  And he scratched the coke head to dress that meathead Comtois because Rempe isn't in their heads.

How does one exact revenge from the bench?  Again, they don't need a big bad against Carolina.  No one is scared of ADA.  They need speed and players that can help sustain ozone pressure.  They need to saved the big bad for the ECF opponent and not have him suspended for trying to collect a pound of flesh in this series.

How in the world did they get up 2-0 in the series?

They've won over 60 games now.  More than half their loses came in the Dec-Jan slump where they were a .500 team.  They got out of that slump without Rempe.  No one is looking over their shoulder when Rempe plays 5 minutes in a 90 minute game.

    Yeah, can't agree.
