Rangers need to isolate Skjei a little more…a few times this season, including tonight, he loses his footing when guys stop short and change directions….earlier in the season, Kakko was able to walk right in after a little juke…need to exploit that.

That’s two games in a row where the guy who caused the OT got us out of it…last game was Kreider missing his check who scored to tie and force OT and then Kreids made up for it in OT and now Trochek…his guy scored the tying goal and he provided bread the dish…that’s the sign of a resilient team and a coach who trusts his players….

Schneider has had a tough series so far…loots of dumb mistakes he hasn’t made in a long time…

Canes have a lot of shots, but many are from the outside…Rangers have many from the high slot and high percentage areas…This is how the Rangers played the first 1/3 of the season…allowed other teams lots of puck possession and outside shots, and just ground them down….

On the replay, weak call…guy backed into Schneider…

I think is a great time for me to fall on my sword…I was all in on Kakko the last two years and was not very high on Laffy…I’m glad to see Laffy really step up…his game has improved in every aspect….speed, work along the boards, shooting, back checking…Kakko had a much better start to the season than Laffy, but he’s faded badly…I’ll venture to guess playing NHL hockey with Ciliac’s Disease and Diabetes is a bit tough…
