  1. " Michael Wayne Korney (born September 15, 1953) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played in 77 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers over parts of four seasons. Mike played 2 years for his hometown Dauphin Kings, winning Manitoba in his final year (71–72), before moving up to the WCHL with the Winnipeg Jets. Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 4th round (#59) in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. " Think he played 18 games for the Rangers. Reason I remember this guy is because when they claimed him I was positive that our eternal search for a big tough D-man was finally over. Mike was listed at 6'3".. 220 lbs which was hugh for that time. Needless to say, even for his size he was pretty invisible on the ice. There is a pics of him in what looks like it maybe a Ranger jersey...just didnt know how to post it
