2019 Off-Season Thread: We Got This Bread, Man
RJWantsTheCup replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Rangers can only hope they have 3 guys deserving of getting paid like Tavares, Matthews and Marner. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk -

Not sure what Reaves would help with. But here's a list of the Blues fighting majors for the year for Ozzy https://www.hockeyfights.com/teams/26/season_leaders/reg2019 -
I forgot about the #58 pick. I doubt Ottawa or LA is trading their picks. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Vesey and #49 to Edmonton for #38 depending on who is available at 38? Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

[brooks] This Feels Like the End for Chris Kreider and the Rangers

I didn't realize the Rangers are building to win the IIHF World U20 Championships instead of the Stanley Cup. -

I would be surprised if the Rangers acquire anymore defensemen at this point. In my opinion the objective should be to get a #2 center unless the Devils don't take Hughes and to shed some salary. -
Kreider & Georgiev to Colorado for the #4 and then sign Panarin to replace Kreider. Still need to shed the salary of 2 out of the three of Names, Shattenkirk & Smith though.

Of course the rebuild isn't going to be complete this year. The team does need to keep improving though. Being near the bottom of the league again in my opinion really isn't acceptable, but it's ok to not make the playoffs. -

Throw in getting rid of Shattenkirk somehow and it works for me. Just don't see it happening. -

Somehow they are trading Kreider, Vesey and Names without taking any salary back? -

Depending on the draft outcome and if they make anymore trades I wonder if Pavelski is a better option at this point than Panarin. Would allow Chytil to play 3rd line center instead of 2nd line and probably cost about hallf the money. -

Going to look into going to the game against Islanders in CT. -
Every NHL player has some sort of talent or they wouldn?t be in the NHL. Theres just different levels of talent. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

Bingo. Most talented teams don?t always win. I?m sure most hockey experts would agree that Washington, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Boston, Winnipeg and Nashville have more talent on their teams than St. Louis. Blues remind me of the Rangers teams that just couldn?t quite get over the hump with Hank in net when lots of Rangers fans complained the team didn?t have enough scoring talent. I still think JD and Gorton are saying they are sticking to the rebuild but actually trying to make playoffs this season and maybe a run the following season. Look at a team like the Blues. They really aren?t all that talented of a team in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

I meant if I?m the Rangers I rather stay at 20 then trade the pick plus Kreider just to move up to 10. Unless there?s some player that should?ve went top 5 that?s still on the board. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

True, but you start with a low offer and see what they counter with. I rather have the #20 pick and Kreider than the #10 pick.
-
Ok, throw Vesey in too.
-
Kreider & Shattenkirk to Vancouver for the #10 and Vancouver's 3rd round pick.
-
With the #10 pick I hope they take Tarasenko. Oh wait wrong draft year. Who knows who will be available at #20. Every mock draft seems completely different after the top 2.

As long as I?m not working count me in. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

When I did it Zegras was available at 20.

Howard's actually has decent food too.
