  1. Cheap price to pay for a guy that's been hobbled by severe injuries for a couple of seasons.
  2. @Pete. " redid " the math; $91,700,000.00 total earnings. I may be mistaken but if IIRC, he also received bonuses which don't show. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/rick-nash Nonetheless, the point being that he now says that he always wanted to be in Columbus but wanted out of a rebuild after originally getting a record contract at the time for a rookie.
  3. Ricky Ca$h grabbed in excess of $100,000,000.00 in his career; a big part of that from Columbus. The obligation to stay or not in Columbus was his choice to make. As their captain, it would have been a prudent decision on his part to remain there, and help with their goal of trying to improve the team. Instead he pretty much begged and cajoled his way out of there. His arrival in NYC surely defined his regular play. Good scorer, except in the play-offs where he failed miserably. Injury prone and in many games a perimeter player and invisible although he was 6'-4" and 219 lbs. An " elite " power forward he was not. Given his natural ability and size, he might well have been recognized as one of the best the NHL had to offer. However, that was not to be. Now he has gone full circle and is back where he begged to leave. And into the bargain, he stated that he always wanted to return to Columbus. Go figure.
  4. Everyone has their own opinion 31. The NYR sorely lack what he brought on every shift, imho. GO RANGERS!!
  5. All the posters that vilified T.G. and the fans that admired his play, are now jumping on the moving bandwagon praising his attributes. Glass is class !! GO RANGERS!!
  6. Nick Ra$h is still being discussed here? Guy moaned his way out of Columbus and now he's back there as a " special " assistant? WTF! GO RANGERS!!
  7. Well now. All the prognosticators that picked Boston as a winner in game 7 on home ice, as they were beaten by a team that went 10-3 on the road and 6-7 at home, will be eating crow. Bruins be-fuddled by an unlikely cinderella story in Binnington. They had many opportunities to bury the Blues but couldn't get it done. Hats off to the entire team; especially coach Craig Berube who united this bunch from oblivion to the big prize. Ryan O'Reilly, as Conn Smythe winner after all the the hoopla about Rask. Have a great summer everyone! GO RANGERS!!
  8. It's amazing how the NYR mgmt. continuously gets saddled with these horrific contacts and the players that come with them.
  9. Larry Brooks? Wouldn't give this " news " much substance at this point.
  10. Tough 100 point player with a nasty, mean edge. Olden days NHL hockey player. Unrelenting fore & back checker. Put him in NYR garb.
  11. Never been the same player since foot/leg injury. Now an injury prone player on the down side, immho. Wouldn't sign with Ottawa, now he's going back? The rumor mill is whirling!
  12. I'm still here. And it's LONG, LONG, LONG TIME FAN!!! Moxie personified.
  13. Fan base = Giants/Rangers. Moan & groan about every little glitch and every player that is not automatically the best of the best; every coach that doesn't perform perfectly like a robot; every GM that makes decisions that the fan base has nary a clue about. All one has to do is read many of the posts on "BS"BH to get the picture. GO RANGERS!!
  14. Islanders 0f 2019 anyone? 2018; worst defense! 2019; best defense! And moving on in the play-offs. Anything is possible in sports.
  15. Oh sure. Players sign contracts to further their chances to have many endorsements. No other reason. Gotcha. Some people will say and actually believe anything.
  16. God forbid the NYR don't run the table next year. The " F " word will be more abundant than ever before!! Suicide watch will be in effect as well. GO RANGERS!!
  17. You're surprised?? TV contracts rule. As a mod you should know this.
  18. Baseball during hockey season is totally insane. Here's looking forward to some cold, nasty weather for the round ball players. GO RANGERS!!
  19. Wannabe GMS on the move. Their plate must be full what with all the decisions pending to be made by the NYR.
