josh
I've barely watched hockey, but Brad Marchand has been, by far, the most entertaining part of playoff hockey, this season.

Gravesy
Series over. If Rask keeps this up it's hard to see the Sharks/Blues hanging with them in the final. I suppose Bruins-Sharks would be a decent series. We can root for Jumbo to lift the cup in Boston.
phillyb
remember when boston sports teams sucked? let’s have another decade of that soon So as a Yankees fan growing up, I absolutely know how much Boston sucked before their resurgence. Celtics were good in the 70s? Bruins were good under Cherry? IDK anything else about dribbleball or american football. Were there actually dark ages in Boston sports history? Or were there decent teams that didn't win championships?

And then I hope he immediately thinks, "I can retire now," cause I don't want to see a 40 year old on two broken legs playing hockey. It's sad to do that to one's body. Cup ring is great, but body and health is another thing.

The Red Sox had the curse of the bambino until 2004 and were perennial bridesmaids. Between 1971 to 2010 the Bruins were perennial bridesmaids. The Celtics were the lone bright spot, but even they had a drought from 1987 to 2009. From the late 1970s until the Patriots Super Bowl there was building angst in Boston, especially in the 1980s with how lost all of the franchises looked (except for the Celtics, but they lost their way). Boston fans put themselves in the same category as Cleveland as far as tortured city fan bases.

Stephen
What a classy gesture for Hurricanes Fans. Cheering and applauding for the final time this season. Classiest gesture since the Winnipeg White-Out in 2015
Stephen
Disgraceful performance by Carolina. Back to the obscurity they go. They played their hearts out this series, just got outplayed by a better team and a seriously good goaltender. Learning Experience year for the Canes. They'll be back making noise next season. 4EverRangerFrank
Man, BOS bitch-slapped the 'Canes. While not wholly unexpected, it was sad to see. BOS smothered CAR like a blanket last night and Rask? Gotta' hand it to the guy...he looks dialed in for sure. What was the stat they showed? He made 90-of-91 saves going into that third period? I must applaud the performance. Now go on a lose to SJS or STL.
siddious
If not for Rask I think the series is a lot more even but yea I couldn?t see Carolina winning this series. NYR2711
This Eastern Conference playoffs has been very strange. Islanders swept Washington, then got swept by Carolina in the next round, who was swept by Boston in the conference finals. I can't think of the last time something like this has happened. Will Boston be swept in the finals?

If SJS make the SCF, I'm hardcore rooting for Boston to dismantle them.
