    Hughes, Kakko top Central Scouting midterm rankings for 2019 NHL Draft
    Jack Hughes of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program under-18 team is No. 1 in NHL Central Scouting's midterm ranking of the top North American skaters eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft.

    Central Scouting revealed its midterm rankings of the top North American and International skaters and goaltenders Monday. The No. 1 International skater is right wing Kaapo Kakko (6-2, 194) of TPS in Liiga, Finland's top professional league. The 2019 draft will be held at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on June 21-22.

    Wow.. Logan Barlage is wayyy down the list. I'm taking 7th round flyer on him for sure.

    I only know a few names, but this list seems to be all over the place.


    Oh, and PODKOLZIN is overrated. Type of kid that’s a steal in the third rd, but a flop in the top 5.

    What's the Peewee league? I saw he had 274 points in 56 games in the peewee league as a 13 y/old lol.

    Yeah, that was his age group but he played a lot of Bantam as an underager. That's a good league, too.

    He's plateaud since his size was mitigated but I'll still dream on him.

    Shane Pinto--ranked 35th among NA skaters. Local kid. Played for Aviator when he was a kid on the best team Aviators ever produced. Played on the same line with my buddy's son.
