High and Wide
Its pretty straightforward; what are your 1-3 favorite artists through the decades? Lets say from the 60's through the 2010's. If you'd like to go earlier than that feel free to do so. Just for clarification, list bands/artists that came to prominence in that decade, not necessarily that started. EX: Led Zeppelin in the 70's rather than 60's. Here are mine: 1960s Simon and Garfunkel The Beatles 1970s Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd Billy Joel 1980s Rush The Police 1990s Radiohead Alice in Chains 2000s Muse Incubus Modest Mouse 2010s Band of Horses Arcade Fire Fleet Foxes Just thought this would be a good way to kill some time, share some music, etc. So what are yours? josh
Pretty solid list. 1960s The Beatles The Who The Doors 1970s Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Elton John Grateful Dead 1980s Rush AC/DC Tom Petty 1990s Nirvana Pearl Jam Sublime I don't think a band has come out since 1994ish. Rage, Offspring, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Allman Bros... but cant list them as favorites. Just like a handful of songs.

Parsley
Definitely. For me its Aerosmith, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink182, Brand New, Sublime, many others. Overall, I'm very particular with my music. Luckily many of the bands I love most (from the 90s) are still putting out new music. So, I haven't strayed much from that.........even as I've grown older and wiser...........I mean OLDER.

This is how I was, but I like a lot more bands/artists now than I did even 4-5 years ago. That said, there are bunch of bands I don't even attempt to listen to anymore that I liked when I was growing up.

TwoMinutesForNothing
Music has sucked for about 10 years imo. But Grunge seems to be making a comeback. Bands like "Basement", even though they broke up already, have influenced a new movement and I like wear it seems to be going.
