It's equally hard to argue that Rempe playing 10 out of 150 minutes is the reason they won.

That's not how fatigue works. Once they get there it's too late.

They have plenty of edge to handle the Canes without him. Like the rookie hits leader who can actually play effective hockey against the Canes speed.

The sample size and working eyes say it's not all Rempe. Him getting ejected twice in less than 15 seconds didn't then win those games. He had nothing to do with them scoring two PP goals with the goal pulled in the Stadium Series game. Again, there is a time and a place for what he brings. This series ain't it, especially in Carolina.

They won the President's Trophy. People are acting like they sucked outside of the 17 games that Rempe played. Plus he played less than 6 min in 11 of those 17 games, two of which he got ejected on his first shift. There's a time and a place for what Rempe brings. Against the Canes ain't it.

Plus no one on the Canes will fight him. There's no point. They have plenty of "presence" without him to handle the Canes. I hope ADA tries to fight Miller, I love watching him get rag dolled.

This is superstitious nonsense. He has nothing to do with either win in this series.

Even if he is right, him playing 10 min as 3C is fine. He's by far the most talented option. You could see the ref get right in Rempe's face in that net front skirmish when he got knocked down. There's no one on the Canes for him to engage with. We'll need him more for FLA/BOS. Let the refs stop worrying about policing him, and have him ready to go in the Garden for the ECF.

Put Chytil between Cuylle and Kakkp and move Wennberg to the 4th line. Don't need Rempe trying to make an impact and getting some stupid suspension in this series. He's a non-factor against the Canes. Save him for the ECF.

Crate train them

It's not an actual real numbers translation. "Expected" goals is just a guess. That said the Canes 5v5 juggernaut, 9th in xGF% (53.65), scored 4 more 5v5 goals than the Rangers, 16th in xGF% (50.15), over 82 games. Carolina was expected to score 194 goals to the Rangers 167. Carolina really scored 171 to the Rangers 167. Now you're gonna hear that the Canes are just unlucky and the Rangers squeaked into the playoffs because they got lucky in 1 goal games.

Think of how much better the PP would be if he didn't kill the break-in every time the player carrying the puck with speed dished it to him on the blueline.
