  1. After leading Team USA to a World Juniors gold and Boston College to a national championship, Gabe Perreault signs his ELC and leads the Rangers to the Cup while winning the Conn Smythe.
  2. I tend to think of this regarding the PP. Yes CK is elite in front of the net. However, I also come back to what happens when the PP struggles. PKs try to prevent Zib/Panarin from carrying the puck over the blueline. Dish it to CK at the blueline, usually results in a turnover. Dump it, CK can't dig it out of the corner. If you replaced CK with a player like Laf sure you get less of CK tip goals, but what you get in return is a player the helps massively with zone entries and getting set up, a player that can go into the corners and retrieve the puck, Zib shoots more instead of trying set set up CK tap ins. CK is great at one thing, but relying on that one thing detracts from other areas success can be found.
  3. Of note in this weird graphic Kreider only has 33 goals outside of that area.
  4. Don't forget that more than half those goals are on the PP. Those don't count because only 5v5 points matter. Unless they're theoretical points Laf would score. At least thays how Panarin and Zib get judged.
  5. All of the lower bowl is supposed to be unobstructed. The upper bowl you my not be able to see the near boards. It's very steep up there.
  6. It doesn't hang over the glass...that's where my seats are.
  7. Will be interesting to see the changes over the next couple of summers, but for now, it should be an interesting view come January 16th.
  8. Would be easier to swallow if he was just toast and retired, but him then signing in Minnesota and putting up 111 goals and 240 points in 311 games including a 40 goal season was just a slap in the face.
  9. Settle down big guy. Someone said summer league and threw out a random thought. I didn't do a research paper on it. Close you log book of everything everyone ever said.
  10. 36 home games with 4.6k attendance is about 165k fans for the season. Cutting to 25 games, even without an increase in attendance only loses 50k butt's in seats. That's what $2-2.5 million. You don't think they'd easily make that up from tv contracts and sponsorships? In the summer they could play some games in the parent club's arena and sell 3-4 times the tickets they normally do.
  11. Really? The Pack plays in front of 11,000 empty seats. You don't think their attendance would increase when they're not competing with NHL, NFL/NCAA football, and NBA/NCAA basketball for attendees. You don't think a national TV deal and increased sponsorship would bring in more revenue than 10ish lost home games with 4.6k in building?
  12. Shorten the AHL season to 50-60 games. Have it run from June to October. Put the games on TV because there's nothing else on.
  13. I was semi exaggerating, although revenue has doubled since the last cba was signed so I can see the players asking for a larger chunk. 60-40ish.
  14. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-salary-cap-increases-for-2023-24-season-345067044 Also $6 billion is the number Bettman quotes. Only reason the cap didn't go up more was because the escrow debt isn't paid off yet. They expect it to be paid off during this season. Probably means a big cap jump next year to the near $100 mil which would be the 50%
