  1. Yeah I think changing up the forward lines a smidge is the way to go. I'll throw another option in there if Chytil is ready to go: Kreider - Zibanejad - Vesey/Wheeler Panarin - Trocheck - Lafreniere Cuylle - Chytil - Kakko Goodrow - Wennberg - Rempe/Vesey I know, I know, "fuck Wheeler", I get it, but listen, the Rangers potential issue here isn't a speed thing. It's an execution thing and it's being smart. Wheeler might be slower, but he's still a smart player. Plus I'm trying to see if @The Dude is still alive or if the mods banned him.
  2. Like it. Definitely. The Canes have momentum and the Rangers could use the extra day for health purposes. I don't know what Fox is dealing with, but maybe some rest helps. Chytil could most likely benefit. A little more time for Wheeler to potentially become an option, because Roslovic has brought zero to the Zib line this series. I think there's lineup moves that can be made here. The Rangers need a jolt.
  3. To be fair to Lavi, the Rangers were getting absolutely obliterated at 5v5 last night. They couldn’t just change how the game was going because the Canes dictated what was happening and imposed their will. I don’t think it was Lavi’s gameplan to turtle and let the Canes live in the Rangers’ end of the rink for the entire 3rd period on a 1 goal lead. Even if it was the gameplan, it’s really because he had no other option except to put it on Shesterkin’s shoulders to provide the shutout. This is why 5v5 performance matters. The Rangers kept up enough to keep it relatively even through the first few games, where Igor and special teams production could be the difference. PP production has gone away and the 5v5 disparity has grown increasingly more tilted in favor of the Canes. First period G4 was pure domination. The entire game G5 was pure domination. It was a matter of time for the shots to start going in.
  4. Panarin is a big reason they were up 3-0, and he’s the biggest reason it’s now 3-2. The lazy backchecking is dumbfounding and completely inexcusable. I almost can’t believe he’s checking out like that after how he approached the first 3 games in the series, but here we are. -5 last 2 games. Disgusting. Lucky for him there are still two more attempts to re-write the script.
  5. Trouba stepped up and scored last night when nobody else wanted to. It’s not really a captain thing. It’s a “stars disappear” thing, and they are in the middle of doing it again.
  6. Do we blame the coach or Panarin for that backcheck effort? Just need to adjust my compass of blame correctly
  7. Pro: we can stop pretending Rempe is some magic potion related to winning these games.
  8. It’s ok. He banged his stick on the boards after so you can tell he really cares
