LONG LONG LONG TIME FAN
Here's the scoop! McLellan hired as Kings coach Replaces Desjardins after Los Angeles misses playoffs for second time in three seasons https://www.nhl.com/news/kings-hire-todd-mclellan-as-coach/c-306818278
ThirtyONE
It's crazy how all the same names just keep switching teams. Neither of these hires are inspiring.
fletch
I like to see McLellan coaching back in CA, Sharks were always fun to watch with him at helm

fletch
They've also been fine/better without him. Disagree. First three years under McLellan won Pacific; 2009 lost in first round, 2010 & 2011 lost in conference finals, pretty good. 2012-4 not great, first and second round exits, 2015 fired after no playoffs. 2016 lucky blip, lost in stanley cup finals 2017 & 2018 first and second round playoff exits, 2019 down 3-1 and likely to get bounced by Vegas http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=3607 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_San_Jose_Sharks_seasons 2010&2011 under McLellan deep playoff runs; 2016 without McLellan deep playoff run. The long-time core including Pavelski and Thorton have had deep runs but just haven't been able to lift the Cup. Window is closing for those guys, not sure if they will ever get it done.
