too many players available that can slide in our lineup and move up and down our lineup that wont cost much available for them to be done... Duclair/Kunin/Roslovic etc. nothing special but all are better than Edstrom/Brodzinski

Well depends if Guentzel wants money or instant contention, Blackhawks will be sitting with $50mil+ in cap space looking for a winger to play with Bedard. Guentzel has no reason to negotiate an extension with the Rangers as we dont have the cap space to do it at the moment, are we trading away Lindgren this offseason? losing Goodrow contract wont be enough

Give me a guy like Luke Kunin for depth and for playoff hockey and i'd be happy, don't need top line players. And though i haven't been paying attention to Patrick Kane news but if we wanted any of the high end offensive guys going to be available at the deadline you might as well throw the bone at Kane who you dont have to trade anything for.

The problem is you can't go back in time, Laviolette is trying to do with Laf what the Rangers should of done 4 years ago then they wouldn't still be trying to figure out what they got 4 years later. No excuses for Laf but the dumb coaching experiments were helping nobody.

Obviously offense isn’t everything but it’s what you want from top 1st round picks, Kreider saw more PP time and had experience from NCAA, IF given consistent PP time Laf/Kakko better seize it. They entered the NHL during a bs time period(rona), IMO they never had a real coaching system yet either, just coaches winging it out there but they’re out of excuses now, time to put down the donuts and playstation controllers and get it done. 

As for Chytil he needs to stay healthy, work on faceoffs.

I hope Laviolette sticks and ends the coaching experiment era which is what we’ve had since 2018. Get a system down and rid of the ones who don’t fit.

just trade him to the Sharks for Ferraro/Kunin and someone like Artemi Knyazev and call it a day.

Because they want to hit Free Agency next year with cap increase, not many competing teams have $ to throw around due to nearly the entire league being cap strained. Thus the theme of this years Free Agency
