  1. Rangers Remind me of the Planet of the Apes ending

If that’s the Red Wings alternative Jersey i would hate to see their practice jerseys lol

    I like the Sabres swords

Penguins pulling a wannabe Rangers look (fail)

    Ducks? Really?

Coyotes lol - looks like road kill

Carolina sporting the Hartford Failures is nice

    Nords is sweet

    Columbus looks like the Capitals

Panthers change so often who can tell the difference?

    Minny? Just burn it

Can’t tell the difference between the Predators regular and alternative

Merry Christmas Devils and did the Islanders even try?

    Ottawa - see Florida

    Blues are red . . . lol

    Lightning - see Islanders

Maple Leafs - how about an autumn Leaf being all the leaves look the same?

Vegas - sweet although from Gold to that is confusing. Purple next?

Jets with the graveyard or Metlife look. What a marketing team!,

Can’t wait for somebody to change the color of the ice

  2. Rangers are in love with Howden.

He isn't going to be the 4th line center.

He'll be 3rd line center with Chytil more than likely moving to wing.

Lemieux will start the season on the 4th line.

Kakko is going to be tried on the 2nd line.

Not sure what will happen on that right side. On paper the left side is going to have a Panarin, Kredier or Laf on a 3rd line. Will one of them be switched to the right side? Then who is the #2 right wing? Buch? Kakko goes to line #3? Is Gauthier a 4th liner? Where does Kravtsov fit? Now Chytil to a wing? Where will all these kids fit?

  3. Somewhat off topic to this particular issue, but some what related, is the fact that everything everyone does is documented now. Stuff that you said and did as a 13 year old kid was memorialized on social media, tweeted, retweeted and then shared on tik tok. I can?t imagine being a kid now and I?m not that old.

background checks for employment will discover a lot more about a person going forward. Almost no privacy and have to be accountable for everything and at any age.

  4. While there is a lot here I disagree with.... What does it matter "how disabled" the kid is? also the mother is a foster mother, she did not adopt 57 children so that's a bit of misinformation in your post...

What I will say is that I do agree in sentiment that we cannot deny for the rest of someone's lives their ability to make a livelihood based on teenage bullying. Let's say Miller was a lawyer and not an NHL prospect... Are they going to write letters to every law firm begging them not to hire Miller?

I don't know what I'd do in the moment if someone bullied my kid in this way, but I do know that after a couple of years I doubt I'd be tracking this kids whereabouts and making sure he doesn't get job offers.

If Miller is still a bullying racist, the Yotes would have found this out sooner than later. By all accounts he was a model citizen in the USHL and college.

The point i’m trying to make is the article likely doesn’t have all the facts. You mentioned “what does it matter “how disabled” the kid is. Well, what does “developmentally disabled” mean? Is that a cognitive issue in which Miller may have apologized and the kid can’t remember or is he in a wheel chair and is cognitively certain Miller never apologized? Would be nice to know.

Thanks for clarifying the foster mother of 57 kids over the years. That number is a lot to get my head around as i have issue with 100% clarity with everything going on with my three kids.

My point is also, when does this end? What is it the victim wants? Is it only the Mother who wants something? What is it? When does it end? None of that is in the article so does the article tell the whole story? Have we crossed the line in which Miller is being bullied or the victim or does that happen quietly and out of the spotlight when he applies for a job outside of hockey?

The whole things is sad and a sensitive topic. But it’s out there so . . . .

    Cheers

  5. JD on the Chalk Talk with Lafreniere and Schneider.

Then JD got grilled. But man, he's so calm and professional.

Fast - want to give that spot to guys that will be around "when we're winning"

Staal/Lundqvist - time to move on, tough decisions, but have to build

    Focus on Hartford developing players.

K'Andre really impressed at bubble camp.

Free Agency - no money because of bonuses, and werent going to sign big names (even smaller names) due to the future. Dont want to take away spots from kids.

Jack Johnson a big presence in lockerroom, good work out, hard working on/off ice. Also will help PK which was not good.

    Great recap, thanks

    Like everything i read

  6. Did you read the article? He hasn’t even apologized to the kid. The judge at his hearing didn’t believe he showed enough remorse either.

And it wasn’t an isolated event, he has a history of doing this kind of stuff.

I don’t know if dropping him was the right thing but I do think a precedent should be set to ensure that things like this aren’t going to be accepted/tolerated just because someone has skill.

We live in a very emotionally charged world today. There is both a heightened awareness and significant sensitivity.

I doubt we have all the facts. Would be nice if the kid did apologize for his behavior while we have no idea what guidance this 14 year had. Was he told to stay away and not speak to the kid? How impaired is the kid? Would he remember if he was apologized too? How can the mother of 57 adopted kids know everything in their lives? How many years should a person be held responsible when their 14 year old developing adolescent mind demonstrated poor behavior (mean behavior)?

Doubt the article has all the facts. Maybe there is more to the story, maybe less, IDK. When do both kids move on? When does it end?

Very emotional times in the world today. I’m not sure what we’re looking for. Sometimes i get the feeling people are looking for the perfect world which sets the bar pretty high. Anything less than perfect there is an emotionally charged opposition who wants the less than perfect aspect destroyed with no let up. Did anybody asked the victim if he wanted Miller’s life ruined? What would his perfect world answer be?

Edit - and we learned, yes, Miller was told to stay away from Isiah.

  7. If we are going to fantasize let’s get Kane too.

    Happy you brought that up.

What if one of the Rangers center turns out perfectly capable of playing center. Maybe it’s Laf for all we know. Then suddenly in a year maybe a Kane or somebody is available.

Hold the cards tight. There will always be something worth getting. Patience

  8. Still hard to believe the Rangers letter to the fans and timing of the rebuild was done so right.

I think the Blackhawks botched the start of their rebuild. Making the playoffs was perhaps the worst thing for them. Could have potentially moved Toews at the deadline for the upcoming draft. Instead, they kept him, Covid hit, they make the playoffs and AFTER the draft and we learn of a flat cap do they think about moving him. Yikes -

  9.

    Chicago gets: Lundkvist, Strome, Barron, 2021 1st, 2022 1st

Rangers Get: Toews (50% salary retained)

Nah, I think that's what you pay for a 70pt player in his prime, not a 32 year old.

Agree, respectfully that offer is three #1 picks along with Strome and Barron for a 32 yr old.

There will be other star players available in the future. There always are. I hold onto the cards and don?t use so many up. I?m reluctant to move out #1 picks too b/c the stock will always have to be rotated long term. The lottery picks made this easy. Keep the stars and rotate the stock. I don?t think this is the time to go star hunting but that?s just me.

    Cheers
