Phil
Better second episode than the first IMO. Much better sense of looming terror, with an escalating fear aspect. The social breakdown should actually go fairly quickly from here IMO.
Vodka Drunkenski
Anybody watching this show? I decided to give a shot yesterday and DVR the marathon along with the newest episode. I'm about half way through season 2 and I'm hooked.
Phil
Yup. They struggled with character development in the first season, but if the premiere for season two is any indication, that should be resolved this year.
Phil
This show quickly became filler, but the two-episode premiere tonight might have been the best Dead combo since early Walking Dead. It actually felt like a movie between both episodes. They've really upped the horror element. Casting Dayton Callie (ex-Deadwood, Sons of Anarchy) was brilliant. Phil
Not at all. Let's talk. It's not a super popular show on the forum anyway. I doubt we'll ruffle many feathers.
Long live the King
After finally going "full Rick mode", growing some balls, and beating those guys to death at the end of last season, I was super surprised to see Travis die.

Phil
I was relieved to see it happen. They needed a major catalyst. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Long live the King
True, interested to see how it changes Madison by the time (I assume) the group reunites with Strand.
Phil
It already has changed her, as evidenced by that closing scene. I think it's going to galvanize her as the de facto leader of their group of survivors, and toughen her already strong character as the series' lead. Long live the King
I mean, right now 'their' group of survivors is 4 people. I think she has a long way to go and a lot to learn be for she's anywhere near capable of taking over the farm.
Phil
I'm really digging this spin-off. Hard to believe we're six seasons deep already, but Morgan is such a magnetic character.

The season premier was one of the best 'Fear' episodes yet. Morgan just got better, amazingly.
Sharpshooter
Does 'Fear' have different writers, because so far it's been fantastic. This show hasn't been this good since the beginning seasons, but this one is shaping up to maybe be the best one yet.
Phil
Yes. Different show runners, as well. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg runs Fear. Angela Kang runs TWD.
TwoMinutesForNothing
I watched for like a season and a half and gave up cuz I thought it sucked. Randomly saw the season 4 finale about a month ago in a re-run and got sucked in. Have binged everything there after. I've still never seen seasons 2 or 3 but don't feel like I've missed much. Everything I've watched recently has been fantastic. Huge difference from from what I remember the show being. I think I like it better than TWD now. The first couple of seasons were a little weird because they had a couple of really annoying characters that a lot of people hated — both of whom died. The last few seasons with Morgan basically leading the whole thing have been fantastic.
Sharpshooter
Morgan saved the show.
Phil
Morgan saved the show. Probably, but I actually think Daniel has been a critical leader, too. I also love the addition of Althea. They had a Madison & Nick problem. Once those problems went away, everything opened up. But I do agree that Morgan as a character just has massive appeal, largely because of the allure he built on TWD.
Sharpshooter
I remember when he was on the very first episode of TWD. You think he's just a minor character that's only going to be in one episode. Then, a few seasons later he makes a return! Not only that, but he then becomes a huge character in not one, but both TWD series. It's pretty crazy.
Phil
Yeah, that's what I mean — his character arc has been building and building to this, so to see him effectively take on leading an entire group is huge. It's also a major resolution of his originally being saved by Rick in that he's now basically become Rick.
