torontonyr
Just started watching volume 1 of the set. What a great show for the time. The art direction is very gothic and has many tricks up its sleeve, doing very high brow shading and atmospheric lighting. There are lines simply in the first few episodes where you can see nolan borrowed from the tone and the situation its quite amazing. Worth revisiting. torontonyr
I rewatched spider man on Netflix, doesn't retain the depth of art that batman does and it lacks the dark factor IMO. I also liked X-men.

The animation styling still holds up to this day. Grade school kid's afterschool ritual - Animaniacs followed by Batman Animated on Fox. And if you were lucky, stopped by the pizza place to grab a slice to have something to munch on while glued to the tv.
