NYR2711
They are better movies than you'd think. I do want to see them, but I never have time to watch anything. I finally just saw The Davinci Code a couple of months ago, and I had DVR'd it like 3 years ago.
Greggy Gloom
Since we are on the topics of film, how about we discuss the best original soundtracks? When I say original score, I mean composed for the film. This would rule out examples such as 2001: A Space Odyssey and Amadeus, since all music used was already written. Once again, to put them in order is nearly impossible. Gods and Generals (John Frizzell and Randy Edelman) Gettysburg (Randy Edelman) Braveheart (James Horner) There Will Be Blood (Johnny Greenwood) Star Wars (John Williams) Indiana Jones (John Williams) Dances with Wolves (John Barry) Spartacus (Alex North) The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (Ennio Morricone) Glory (James Horner) The Alamo- 1960 (Dmitri Tiomkin) The Alamo- 2004 (Carter Burwell) The Ninth Gate (Wojciech Kilar) McQ (Elmer Bernstein) Zulu (John Barry) More to come as I remember them LOL... Drew a Penalty
Most soundtracks with songs produced by Hans Zimmer and John Williams are very good.

Drew a Penalty
Sounds nice. It has that classic secret agent kind of tune to it. Kind of like one of those James Bond or classic Batman songs.

Probably the best part of the film. John Wayne was alright, but out of place in a cop movie.

John Wayne will always be a Western film actor. I don't like watching any of his non-Western films. They just don't seem right.

Some are actually very good, but you are right. He will always be the western icon.
