RichieNextel305 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 I feel bad for the kid but this organization needs to go outside the organization and get this 3C issue resolved. I’m sorry. You just can’t rely on him to be here long term. Whether this happened tonight or whether this happened tomorrow or next month or in 3 months, this was inevitable. They really need to begin thinking outside the box here, and someone in his camp should have a real life talk with him about calling it. This is unfortunately going to keep happening. For his sake and for the Rangers sake, I really hope this is the last time. Kids a great player. But he needs to begin thinking of life after hockey. And the Rangers need to begin thinking of life after Chytil. This year is too important to be letting this be an issue all year. I’m sorry. I don’t mean to sound cruel. 1 2
Scott Posted November 15 Posted November 15 "still being evaluated" according to Lavy. Truly sucks for him and that's unfortunate. @RichieNextel305 you're 100% by him even being a part of the team he's holding them hostage every time he laces them up. Sadly it was only a matter of time. Even if he comes back in a couple games the odds of him being able to be counted on is nil in my opinion. They should probably shoot whoever cleared him to come back on the ice into the sun. Regardless though not sure anybody here didn't see this coming. Get better kid.
Scott Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) my mistake he takes it right on the chin/head, both guys trying to find the puck and looking down Edited November 15 by Scott

Like I had to sound like someone who is inconsiderate of Chytil and his situation. But in the last 12 months, we have watched him try and come back 3 times: 1.) A routine skate in MSG with hardly anyone on the ice 2.) A single playoff game where an incident struck forcing him to miss a few games. 3.) Tonight This isn’t going to stop. And it’s hurting Chytil. And it’s hurting a Ranger team truly looking to win and win this year. Chytil is a great fit for where he plays but he simply cannot be relied on here and it’s malpractice for the Rangers and Chytils representation to allow this to continue. After a few tries, it’s just apparent that this isn’t going to work out well for anyone. Were having a hard enough time getting Zibanejad going. Do we really need to deal with another additional question mark down the middle? In a season where phrases like “last chance” and “all-in” are being thrown around for this teams current core? Its time. Unfortunately for Chytil. Edited November 15 by RichieNextel305

It's always been that way. Why no one sent him to Adam Oates is beyond me.
RJWantsTheCup Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Good thing the Rangers are deep at center. Trade Lindgren for a center now. 1
phillyb Posted November 15 Posted November 15 This fucking sucks. Hopefully he puts all of our fear at bay and comes back just as strong as this last time around (if this isn't serious enough for him to step away from the game). Poor kid.
RJWantsTheCup Posted November 15 Posted November 15 He was playing the best hockey of his career. They should bubble wrap him if and when he comes back

Pete Posted November 15 Posted November 15 1 minute ago, MuddyInTheMiddle said: If he were to call it a career; do they get his entire cap hit back? LTIR. He won't retire, his contract would be void and he'd lose the money.
RichieNextel305 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) He’d get paid by being on LTIR. But the cap would effectively be off the Rangers books as long as he’s on there I believe, correct? Cap logistics isn’t close to being my strong suit, I admit. Regardless, this charade has to end. For all parties. For Chytil, it’s too risky. And for the Rangers, in a season where so much is on the line, it’s simply absurd to rely so heavily on a guy who this is just going to continue happening to. Even if by the grace of God this “day to day” prognosis ends up being true (it won’t) and he’s “fine” in a few days, I’m just done seeing it. It’s unsettling. Edited November 15 by RichieNextel305
RJWantsTheCup Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Lindgren for Shane Pinto. If need be throw in some body who will never play for the Rangers any way or a low round draft pick.

Lindgren or Miller could fetch a 3rd line center. Mancini is ready to play. Send one of those D out to shore up that center role. Agree 100%. Reilly Smith has looked good at that RW void that's been open for years so center is the role that needs addressing now.
