I had heard that he had reservations about going 8 years because he wouldn’t be eligible for UFA until he’s 31. This will take us until hes 30. And judging from the leaps and bounds he’s made, this will be a steal.

There was a report a day or two ago from Friedman, I think, that Laf didn't necessarily want it. Would have taken him to age 31. This would take him to 30.

I get the price but not the term. I could see him doing 4 years but not one that takes him to the wrong side of his prime. He must be assuming the cap goes up 20m within the next 7 years where the normal for a superstar is closer to 14m rather than 10-11m
