I'll take some down years for the three Cups they won in Pittsburgh with one of the best to ever play and a couple other Hall of Famers. Perhaps they were a bit too loyal to some of them, but I'm not totally surprised. I like that Sid will be there his whole career. You don't see that much anymore. It sounds like basically everyone there is on the market except him. They will probably have difficulty trading some of them, but the firesale is beginning. They traded Eller the other day.

Good one.

That's the best fight I've seen in a while!! Way to go boys!! Swinging like a wild man while protecting your face in your jersey is a new method and then the knock down! Thanks for posting!

Ugly. Just ugly. Another guy with a history of concussions.

Benn is one of the biggest cunts in the NHL, makes sense he doesn't engage in cannibalism.

Why?! Why are you hitting a guy like that. Take a few extra strides and go for the puck, hit from the side. That's a real crappy play by Benn.

Pittsburgh is in shambles. They just got blown out 6-2 to Columbus, and they traded Lars Eller to Washington. Would have been a great fit here.

Welp. Enjoy the time off. Years ago I wasn't smart enough to totally understand the whole there's no respect anymore in the game.  What an asshole I am.

Prolly tough to sleep at night knowing you knocked somebody into next week with a dirty hit and potentially rocked their 🧠....all in the name of a game.

It was a good day when the Rangers traded him. Overrated, overhyped, P.O.S.

He was fun for a bit in his first season here. Other than that, ugh. He had a place at a time, but that's been long gone.

Ovi with a hit start now 29 away. Realistically, it could happen this year. Amazing to be alive to watch this go down.

Ovechkin, and the Capitals in general, look completely rejuvenated under Carbery. They are my biggest surprise right now.

Is it time to talk about how Dylan Strome could finish ahead of Panarin in points?

That’s much more a credit to strome than a knock on Panarin, DStrome having a fabulous year.

Speaking of which, two more for Ovechkin. While still unlikely, Ovechkin is within range of not only breaking gretzsky’s record, but doing it in fewer games. He needs 27goals in 43 games. That’s a roughly 54g season’s pace but with the start he’s had who knows.

i for one am going to freak out when it happens. These untouchable records are freakish and it takes special circumstances to break them. Ovi is 39 and leading the league in goals, it’s wild stuff

It's insane to me that we will see someone break Gretzky's goal-scoring record in our lifetime. It's one of those untouchable records in sports, it seemed like. Unreal. It will be a top all-time sports moment.

I watched his one timer last night on the powerplay. He’s scored that goal over two hundred times. Goalies still can’t stop it. To think that over the 20ish years he’s been playing he’s inspired so many players to set up shop at the top of the circle there, and he’s STILL better than all of them at it, is really something.

Zib did it for a year or two and now he can't score from ANYWHERE let alone Ovi's office.

We were able to see two of the best to ever to it, he and Crosby, in our lifetimes. Also doing it with one team, which is so rare now in sports. I think last season was just a bad year for him, personally. It happens to the best of them. Yeah, he was maybe starting to look his age, but I wasn't ready to bury him just yet. Plus, as I said, the entire team looks rejuvenated under this new coach. They were looking like a franchise that already peaked, and was heading in the opposite direction.
