Br4d
One of the best actors of my youth. Everything he was in was excellent. Which of course means he was very good at picking scripts. RIP If you're never seen it The Bingo Long travelling All-Stars & Motor Kings is one of the best sports films of all time. It's about a Negro League All-star team travelling the Midwest playing against local white teams in the period just before Jackie Robinson broke the color line. James Earl Jones plays the Josh Gibson-esque power-hitting Catcher. Note that it is a sports film in the same way that Bang the Drum Slowly is. Sharpshooter
Great man and actor. His performance in Field of Dreams is one of the best. A lot of his lines in that movie gave me goosebumps.
