I’m so used to the Rangers having a bunch of potential performance bonuses on the books, but the fact is they have a ton of performance bonus allotment that they can use.

 

They currently only have $400k in potential bonuses. They are allowed to exceed by 7.5% of the cap, or 6.2 million. That means they have roughly 5.8 million in performance bonuses they can hand out. It would carry over and count against next year’s cap.

Good fit. He doesn't have to be "the guy"  and should come in energized and ready to play with a good bunch. 

 

Don't care about the "locker room cancer" label. Locker room is a tight knit group and he's coming in as a hired gun on his last chance.

PP and playing next to zero defense.

 

Not complaining though. The Rangers need more offense in their top 9 on the right. I would anticipate no PP and about 40 points, which is obviously still terrific value.
