This is another one that makes no sense to me. He's fallen off a cliff this season, he's 30 at puck drop next year, he's got 7 years left on a monster contract and has full trade protection.

Where's he going?

Big time head scratcher here.

McCabe (multiple years left) pushed him out. He has no role there anymore. Makes complete sense they'd want to move on and get something for him while he's still got value.

Figured they keep him for the future. I never thought highly of Reilly.  Giordano is 1,000 years old, Brodie sucks ass... Figured they'd keep this group for a run.

D and goalie has always been their problem. They finally shore up the D then they take a step back. Not sure what they need cap space for. They getting a goalie?

Toronto has traded Sandin to WAS for Gustafsson and a 1st, a 3rd round pick to the Isles for Pierre Engvall, and now shipped off Luke Schenn to Vancouver for a 3rd. Someone take Dubas' phone away

Think you got that backwards. Dubas is clearly wary of the TBL offensive threat so can't blame him for trying to shore up the defense, even though there's scraps available by this point. Their best option is still going to be to try and overwhelm TBL with their scoring.

This is the kind of guy I was hoping the Rangers would bring in instead of Motte but I guess Eller at $2.4 would have be more prohibitive than Motte at $1.4.  Good move by Colorado at any rate.

Klingberg seems like a perfect fit for Edmonton.  Another player that has absolutely no idea how to play in the defensive zone.

They're not even in the same stratosphere, though. Eller is, at worst, a solid third-line center. Motte is, at best, a fourth-line winger.
