If Lindgren Is Out, What's the Move?

So with our 1st pairing LD on the shelf for what looks to be minimum 2- 3 weeks, if his shoulder is separated. What do we want to see happen.

I want no part of Mikkola or Harpur playing top minutes.

Do they mess with the Miller/Trouba pairing? I know a few people don't even like that pairing anyway,  but it's been together for 2+ seasons now.

Do we see one of Trouba or Schneider slide up and play the left side?

A call up? Jones or Robertson could maybe take Miller's spot pushing Miller up? Hajek?

If Lindgren goes on LTIR is there anyone available through trade that could seamlessly fit into the 1st pair and not cost an arm and a leg?

This injury hurts. I'm thoroughly unimpressed with Mikkola on a Nemeth level. Hopefully they can move him and find a better option for this current situation as well as filling that 6 D spot for when Lindgren comes back.

Gotta think Jones or Robertson are in play for such a player. More of the perceived cupboard going than we expected.

I think you go Harpur with Fox. Mikkola/Schneider need time together if that’s the expected third pairing for the playoffs.

I think that’s the move. I know it’s not something a lot of people probably love. But Harpur was steady and quiet for most of his time here. As a fill in for a little bit for Lindgren, that’s what I would want next to Fox.

Lord knows all the other pairs need all the time together and help they can possibly get.

if there is a trade for Kane and no LTIR of Lindgren there is really nothing they can do, most of the dmen on the trade block are RD. One of the few LD is Gavrikov... Hamonic, Schenn both RD. Plenty of pricier dmen but they're not worth even bringing up because the cap/price to get them is senseless for a 1-2mo fill in

Hey. I didn't say I liked it. Plus I would have given Zac Jones some more run than he got and he might be a solution right now, but on top of having zero defensive structure in place, Gallant likes dead end trash defensemen too.

Can we also talk about how while the team has looked awful, Fox has had a real rough go at it?

Fox has, but for me, Miller is the one who has looked the worst. Today was the worst game of his career IMO. He couldn’t complete a simple pass, he couldn’t make any reads. He was disgustingly bad.

But again, he was one of many. The entire roster looked like it didn’t know how to defend.

If anyone ever had any doubt that Lindgren is more important to this team than Miller, those doubts were resolved today.
