Just now, Kevin said:

I’d give Calgary a 5th rounder for Rooney at half retention.  I actually thought he was good in that role.

I'd rather they just find someone who's actually, you know, good?

Just trade the 4th-round pick for Bonino and call it a day. Why are we overthinking such a simple task?

Does Sam Rosen pack his Jack Hughes shrine in his luggage? Right next to his hair care products, perhaps?

Since Jack's brother Quinn is Canuck, figures to be mentioned. Repeatedly.

Phil Di Giuseppe  and J.T. Miller figure to be called  "old friend". Often. Under and over on that ; 9.5.

And Anthony Beaulivier was an Islander, so that figures to get beaten to death since Rosen has no idea what's going on on ice.

Rooney knows the team and the system (whatever that is) here. Bonino seems like a shell of himself. I’d be very much interested in Bjugstad though.

Didn't Calgary put Rooney on waivers earlier this season?

Yes. He’s buried on their AHL team.  That’s why it wouldn’t cost much to get him.  No interest in getting him in the silly contact that they signed him to though.

I guess, but he also isn't very good. I don't see the value in giving up anything for Kevin Rooney. He's a waiver claim-level player.
