The Rangers aren’t catching the Canes. The Rangers fucked around too much the first two months of the season and the price they will pay is lack of home ice advantage in rounds 2 and 3 should they make it that far. Might not even have home ice round 1.

They have 3 games against the 'Canes.  It's a chance but they have to win those games.

Also I think they have a mental advantage over the 'Canes at this point because of the way they won the playoff round last season.

The Taraschenko acquisition might just be the spark to catch the Canes. The way they played in the first period was really impressive

The Canes are pacing to finish with 122 points. The Rangers need to go 27-2-1 in their last 30 games to hit 123 points.

I feel good about the Rangers finishing the season strong, but the hole they dug is really deep.

I know it’s a tall task just don’t think Canes nor the Bruins for that matter can keep up that torrid pace.

I can’t tell if Gallant is giving Kravtsov tough love or if he legit dislikes the kid. He played well last night. I’m not sure what he’s looking for in 10 min of time last night, but I could have counted at least 3 or 4 Kraken turnovers that Kravtsov was responsible for creating in the OZ.

His allotment of ice to the younger players in general is pretty baffling. Just look at how he has handled the Kid line. They played excellent hockey in the playoffs last year then He screwed around with them for quite awhile to start this season

Feeding them top 6 minutes was screwing with them?

Yes. As all of us fans plainly saw last year during the playoffs the Kid Line most nights were the most productive line the Rangers put out there but he didn’t play them. This year he should have just kept line intact and not move them all around as it’s obvious they all play their best hockey when they are together
