I just don’t know. It is just impossible to read this team. Impossible.

Last year when the team was down, the pucks were going in and they'd come back. They still play hard most of the time, but just nothing is going in. The vibes are gone, and at times, things just seem off with this team in general.

Panarin - Zibanejad should be a thing moving forward.  Maybe put Lafreniere on the RW there and count on him getting chances with the other two.

I'd rather see Panarin with Chytil and Kakko.  Lafrenière with Trochek and Vesey- because Vesey will never exit the top 6- and Kreider with Zibanejad and Gauthier or Blais.

Trochek and Panarin isn't looking so hot

Just one of those nights. Deserved a point but whatever. Atleast it wasn’t to an Eastern Conference opponent.

This team has some serious issues, but man the league in general is hard to figure out, still. Teams like the Blues and Canes and Rangers losing to scrub teams today. Just never know on any given night.

As I said before, they're still playing most of the time, but just nothing is going in. Last year's team wins this game.

Last year we at least had a red hot PP able to bail the team out of games they had no business winning. This year even the PP can't get those clutch goals. The soft zone entries and lazy cross ice passes getting picked off is getting way too frustrating. The #1 unit is content with just walking the puck into zone and then moving it around the perimeter. No desperation or mobility whatsoever.

Not getting otherworldly goaltending either. Shesterkin was great last night which was why not starting him again was dumb. Having said that, still very winnable tonight.

It was killed the moment Halak was named the starter.

He sucked.

We put up two goals against a junk ass team. By two guys we shouldn't count on for goals. Absolutely terrific we hit a lot of posts, they're as meaningful as pounding the glass. Again we just were nowhere good enough. Even Vally calling them out which is rare. "Self-inflicted wound" game.

I mean watching this team game in and out you’d think they’d be in worse shape standings wise. Feels like most teams are struggling to find their rhythm (other than a select few). They definitely aren’t much more than a fringe playoff team at this juncture. They need to start scoring more. Simple as that. An under 9% shooting percentage isn’t gonna cut it.

Tonight was very winnable with an average backup goalie in net. It's just too bad those 2 stinker of goals by Halak end up being the difference God damnit.

Unpopular opinion.  I deal Miller as the centerpiece for Kane. What happened with this kid?

Ended last season on a roll. Had a preseason that had us all bonerized  Now and the last 15 or so games? Just lackadaisical and not skating or doing anything good with the puck.

Yes. Even though Halak stunk, you should be scoring more than two goals against this team. Again, almost zero luck luck so far. They still play hard and are in it most nights. Pucks that went in last year are getting stopped or hitting posts.

Anaheim has the worst GA in the league...how the fuck did the Rangers not score at least 4-5 on them tonight is baffling. They've been getting lit up all season.
