There were at the very least 2 other times where Tampa had too many men on the ice, the Miller call that was nothing and then that horrendous non-call on Kakko. There was also a tie up with Chytil in the 3rd too at some point.

Just brutal nights for McCauley and Furlatt, who should have officiated their last games of the season last night. Take a trip, boys. Good grief.

Hope this Rangers fan is in the slammer and never allowed back in MSG. It’s a fucking game and as much as an opposing fan may be talking shit and with a puffed out chest still doesn’t deserve to get knocked the fuck out.

Maybe I'm just wired different Maybe I'm just getting old.. But there are about 3 things I can think of that would make me punch another person in the face.. One of those definitely isn't a hockey game.

I mean, the list is more than three, at least mine is, but a hockey game is 100% not on it.

Haven’t been to a game at MSG in awhile…they sell beer through the 3rd or cut it off early? Looks like the guy that got clocked was drinking on the walk out. Is that normal? I bet they were both boozed up and trash talking.

You can buy 2 huge beers at the 2nd intermission and from what I could tell the game hadn't yet ended when these people were walking out. So figure two 24 oz beers on top of everything that was drank during the game ... Across 20 minutes....

I don’t disgree, but these things only matter when you cannot score more than  one goal and loose the game. When you have chances, including a yawning empty net, you need to score and take control of the game.

By this thinking then lets just give TB the Cup now and not play the SCF since the NHL wants TB to be a dynasty.  When/if they lose vs. Colorado then what will the conspiracy theory be?

No, clearly that cannot happen.  But they have to get the team there first.  I'm not one for reffing conspiracies but, man, this was just a fucking shitshow of a series as far as the officiating went.  Worse than the Pittsburgh series in my opinion.

No but they want the drama of a potential 3peat to keep going.

C’mon, NHL wants parity in the league, different teams to have a chance for the Cup, now you’re saying the NHL wants repeat winners? Which is it, parity or consistent finalists?

and as long as we completely discard any/all missed or ignored calls against us this becomes a bigger issue.  This is where I agree with Copp, we had two calls against, they had one.  Each side had missed/ignored calls, if you're  leaning towards the theme of we got called for everything while TB got away with everything then I think the focus is on the wrong reason as to why we've lost the last 3 in a row. 1 ES prayer in ~10 periods.  TB's PP was 1.29% worse than ours all season long. Pretty damn near even weapon wise.

My list of reasons I will punch you in the face:

1. Endanger my family (or my dogs)

2. Endanger me

3. Being Adam Henrique

Stop. This is the dumbest argument ever. The Rangers are the richest team in the league. They're spiking the ratings. If the league had any rooting interest in the outcome of games, they'd have the Rangers in the Final.

Rangers make more money than 28 teams when they are losing
Tampa only has fans when they are winning. And they want a “dynasty” team because they haven’t had one in a long time

K. Every league suffers from that. Refs are human and the refs were fine. Stop blaming officials for your teams flaws.

Yup. You don't score one goal and be kept to the outside the majority of the night due to reffing. Had to watch off and on, but a 2-1 plus ENG loss isn't due to officiating only.

Exactly this. And it's been like this over multiple games, too. That also on the refs?

I don't think anyone is saying the sole reason the Rangers lost was due to the officiating.  We can all see plain as day that the Rangers look absolutely gassed and aren't helping themselves with their total lack of offense the last few games.  This doesn't mean that the officiating also hasn't been awful and surely could have contributed to chances against/lack of chances for.

Sure could have, and if the Rangers 5v5 wasn't the worst of all teams who made the playoffs, this wouldn't matter. We wouldn't be sitting here begging — hoping — for a power play to save their season. Because they could actually, maybe, score at even strength.

If anything, this is a learning lesson for Drury to keep at the front of his mind as he navigates the looming off season.

I don’t think anyone saying it’s all officiating why Rangers lost but if they call a weak ass hook on Miller they have to call a interference penalty prior to Tampas first goal

You can't complain about game management if you want them to make a BS call on Tampa just because they made a BS call on the Rangers, that's exactly what game management is.
