BrooksBurner Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 He’s better than Nemeth. Every time I’ve seen him, he is calm with the puck and makes good decisions. He’s just small, and that’s been anti-Gallant for the 3rd pair.
RichieNextel305 Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Hopefully for Fox. He looks like he just needs a breather. He has been making mental mistakes the last few games. Give him off until Game 1.
josh Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Schneider, Nemeth, Fox, Trouba, and Lindgren all looked like they could use a break last night. actually, they all looked like they were taking a break last night. 1

Obviously he’s still very young and has so little NHL experience, but he’s looked good enough to where if he got some playing time moving forward he could actually round into a decent bottom pair guy.
Ozzy Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) Fox looked to me like he's been running on fumes for the last several games. He can use some rest in my book. I also wanna see me some Zac....I liked his play when he was up last time. Edited April 27, 2022 by Ozzy
Winter Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 regardless of who needs it or not there is no reason at all to play Trouba, Fox and Lindgren vs the Canadiens

I'd like to see Kones and Schneider paired together, since they had some success together at the AHL level (if im not mistaken). Sit Fox and Lindgren and play the shit out of Jones and Schneider as the 2nd pair. Dress Hajek and Braun as the 3rd pair. I'd have liked to see this done on the norm, through out the season. Gotta rotate your D men in and out more. These guys put a lot of mileage on and the Rangers need them playing at optimal levels. 1

RJWantsTheCup Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I think Jones looked better before we sent him to Hartford than he did last night.

Ozzy Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 He was good when he had the puck. Without it, I think the speed of the game was a little quick for him. Seemed a bit behind the defensive play I thought, but that was to be expected. I think he's definitely an NHL player though.

Fucking guy played almost 23 minutes last night, and didn't seem to be gassed on any shift he took that I saw. His play really kinda reminds me of a very young Phil Housely. He skates similar to Housely, and is even kinda built like him! 1

RJWantsTheCup Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I like Jones too, I wanted him to stay up instead of Lundkvist and rather him play over Nemeth.

Possibly pair him on the 3rd pairing with Schneider, or maybe even think of putting him with Trouba.....but that's all down the pike a little for next season. It's good to know we do have a fair amount of offensive defensman depth hanging around for the playoffs though, just in case....

I'm not messing with that pair, that's just me though.

Nah, I hear that Pete...If it ain't broke is always a good idea. Trouba has had a hell of a season and has made me a believer. I think it's always good to have another option though...you know...injuries and stuff, that's all.
Sod16 Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 (edited) I agree that Jones looked a bit better before than last night, but that's more a matter of being impressive before than unimpressive last night. Schneider is the one I have been concerned about over the past couple of weeks. Edited April 29, 2022 by Sod16
