Schneider, Nemeth, Fox, Trouba, and Lindgren all looked like they could use a break last night.

actually, they all looked like they were taking a break last night.

He’s better than Nemeth. Every time I’ve seen him, he is calm with the puck and makes good decisions. He’s just small, and that’s been anti-Gallant for the 3rd pair.

I agree. Obviously he’s still very young and has so little NHL experience, but he’s looked good enough to where if he got some playing time moving forward he could actually round into a decent bottom pair guy.

Fox looked to me like he's been running on fumes for the last several games.  He can use some rest in my book.

I also wanna see me some Zac....I liked his play when he was up last time.

Fox is definitely gassed.  Hope they rest everyone who is ailing.

I'd like to see Kones and Schneider paired together, since they had some success together  at the AHL level (if im not mistaken).

Sit Fox and Lindgren and play the shit out of Jones and Schneider as the 2nd pair. Dress Hajek and Braun as the 3rd pair.

I'd have liked to see this done on the norm, through out the season. Gotta rotate your D men in and out more. These guys put a lot of mileage on and the Rangers need them playing at optimal levels.

I think Jones looked better before we sent him to Hartford than he did last night.

I thought he looked pretty good last night 🤷🏼‍♂️

He was good when he had the puck.  Without it, I think the speed of the game was a little quick for him.  Seemed a bit behind the defensive play I thought, but that was to be expected.  I think he's definitely an NHL player though.

I'm just wondering if the AHL is helping his game at all

It's certainly keeping him in shape.  Fucking guy played almost 23 minutes last night, and didn't seem to be gassed on any shift he took that I saw.  His play really kinda reminds me of a very young Phil Housely.  He skates similar to Housely, and is even kinda built like him!

Gallant obviously liked his game. I like the kid and believe he will be a roster fixture after we offload Nemeth this off season.

There are some pretty cool possibilities with Zac, JSM.

Possibly pair him on the 3rd pairing with Schneider, or maybe even think of putting him with Trouba.....but that's all down the pike a little for next season.  It's good to know we do have a fair amount of offensive defensman depth hanging around for the playoffs though, just in case....

Miller's defensive growth has allowed Trouba to settle in.

I'm not messing with that pair, that's just me though.

Nah, I hear that Pete...If it ain't broke is always a good idea.  Trouba has had a hell of a season and has made me a believer.  I think it's always good to have another option though...you know...injuries and stuff, that's all.

I agree that Jones looked a bit better before than last night, but that's more a matter of being impressive before than unimpressive last night.  Schneider is the one I have been concerned about over the past couple of weeks.
