So that pretty much guarantees them to be one of the oldest teams again next season.  I guess they think they may have one more run in them next season.

Looking forward to see how they handle Matt Barzal contract situation next season.

Sure, run it back, with the same shit players as this year. The Metro thanks you.

They're totally going to fumble the Barzal contract.....Watch it be another Tavaras situation.

Pretty much after next season they'll have to do some sort of rebuild, and will Barzal want to be part of that?

They think they are just tired from 2 long post season runs.

They won't have to worry about that this year.

They are also stupid.

Oh.. but they have the all great and all seeing Lou at the helm! 😁

35 and 38 next season, respectively.  Talk about a "stay the course" gesture.  This may indicate that they will keep Varlamov and Bailey as well, which means opening no cap space for improvements.

I suppose you have to marvel at Lou's powers, as Clutterbuck left money on the table and may have two passable seasons in him.  Parise has been in decline for years and has lots of mileage on him at an old age.

Lou should be looking at the eight current playoff teams in the East and asking which ones are likely to miss it next year.  None really.  He needs to improve to make the playoffs, and this "built for the playoffs" team has never been that great in the regular season.

What a nice rink they have to miss the playoffs in.

They should re-sign Chara too.

They probably will

If they don't the average age of their team goes down like 4 years lol

Clutterbuck's injury was probably why he was held out for maintenance before the deadline.  They ended up not being able to deal damaged goods.

Probably because Uncle Lou is in a thousand-year slumber every trade deadline.

Being one win away from the final can make you do some stupid things, just ask the Senators.
