Phil Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Quote 11. I do think the Rangers looked at Buffalo’s Victor Olofsson. However, he is a restricted free-agent with arbitration rights, and I don’t believe New York can handle next season’s projected number. https://www.sportsnet.ca/article/32-thoughts-could-the-predators-trade-filip-forsberg/
siddious Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 They should just start reporting who the Rangers HAVENT looked at or inquired about. Might be a shorter list. 1 1
RJWantsTheCup Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 I've looked at 90% of the super models in the world, doesn't mean I'm getting any of them. 1 1

Scott Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) Same RJ. Sometimes you gotta play the short game when that's all you got. Edited February 25, 2022 by jsrangers 1 1
RichieNextel305 Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Oloffson always fucking has hat tricks against me when I find the time to play NHL22 and end up playing Buffalo. I agree with most here, who haven’t the Rangers looked at at this point?
The Dude Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 I like the player. Always noticeable when the Rangers play Buffalo. As a 40 point type player, why would his next contract be an issue? I'd assume Chytil would be going the other way. Is Olofsson going to get much more than the 3 mill he's getting now?

That's what Friedman is saying, yes. Two years ago he was 0.8 P/GP. 0.6 this year and last. He'll be 26 with one year left before free agency. Seems logical he'd be looking for probably $5M+ per.

I don't think he'd ask that much. 40-ish point player at 26, he pretty much is what he is. Buchnevich just got over 5 mill and he came off a PPG season while having progressive numbers years prior. Why would Olofsson be getting into that territory? 3.5-4 should be what he'd get. Definitely not on the same level as Buchnevich.
