Games of significance for the Tank

Devils vs. Leafs

Coyotes vs. Canucks

Both teams can jump over the Rangers tonight with a Rangers loss

Someone should start the Official Tank Tracker

Posted
LOL! I'm heading to MSG tonight to support the rebuild...whatever that means. A) Root? B) Whine? C) Hope? D) Drink? E) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Have a great time big guy!!!

I'll go with Choice (E) All of the above!

Here's my call:

Going with a Rangers 4-2 loss

Isles win late on a bad goal...then, yes Virginia....another empty netter.

Shots on goal:

Isles- 36

NYR - 23

Face Offs:

Isles- 55%

NYR - 45%

Hits:

Isles- 28

NYR - 21

Blocked shots:

Isles - 10

NYR - 12

Gotta find a way to root for something this year....this season is becoming very hard to endure, with such boredom!

Have fun tonight at the game Frank and root for the home team with a cold one. :chug:

Ozzy with interesting predictions once again and I agree with what you are painting for tonight's game.

So, just to be clear, it appears as if many here (and NYR fans everywhere) understand the need to lose so we can draft better. We're also applauding Dolan for 'staying the course' but he himself says that he's not advocating for a season tank. Which is it?

Compete hard and lose. This notion is the best scenario. It builds a culture of 'compete' while at the same time reaching the greater objective. Still, doesn't the overall effect of losing wear thin and try guy's patience and psyche? (It does for those of us watching late into the third period approaching midnight on a western road trip.) I dunno guys, I don't understand how we can have it both ways. This is a nuanced process me thinks.

Just to be clear, I'm going with "E" above.

I just wanna see someone shoot the puck...and quickly!!!!

I'm easy to please....this damn team doesn't shoot the puck at all!!! Most of our shots that do reach net couldn't break a pane of glass!!!!

What's more is that no one on this team...I MEAN NO ONE......has a quick release! ....anyone seen that one timer??? I haven't!!! I think Zibby had one about 3 weeks before Thanksgiving; haven't seen one since, and I haven't missed a game all year!

Have fun though Frank!!

Me and RJ are headed there for the Flyers on Jan 29th. I gotta see these guys at least once this year; it may be all my stomach could withstand! :)

Do it! You're way better at the maths.

I think what Dolan was saying was he doesn’t condone deliberate tanking, i.e losing on purpose.

Agree. What I have difficulty with is this; How does a team go through the motions of playing without actually playing? Wouldn't is be pretty obvious if a group decided to just give up? I'm seeing our guys play hard. It doesn't look like were giving up.

Leaving the house soon - I want to get a bar stool.

Never seen any team of hockey players at any level who seemed less inclined to score. Quinn wants them to go to the goal and shoot, but too often they're perfectly happy to pass round the outside and look for another pass rather than take a simple hard shot on net.

LOL, im terrible at math. You should see me trying to figure out my daughters first grade common core math. Im like WTF, give it to your mom to check.
