We didn?t respond well. I think we did react well against adversity in this game, so I think that?s something we can build off even though it?s very disappointing to lose this one after looking forward to it all summer." Drew a Penalty Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Is Names really scratched in favor of McLeod? McLeod skated in his place yesterday so that would appear to be the case.
Dunny Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 That's insane. Even when not producing he's a very sound hockey player that's very reliable and you can plug in anywhere. McCleod is fucking garbage.
Mistercosmic Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I'm so excited to watch all these exceptional talented young players and franchise faces of the future. And hey, the Rangers have some gifted rookies as well!
ThirtyONE Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I think it’s an indictment against Namestnikov more than anything. Reading between the lines of Quinn’s quotes during camp, I don’t think Namestnikov impressed him very much.
Kevin Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I actually think it might be in response to Names reaction when he was told to go sit in the box when the Rangers took the too many men penalty in the 3rd period. I can't find a clip but he kind of threw his hand up in the air in a negative manner that not too many coaches would care for.
Vodka Drunkenski Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Quinn trying to set the tone early on, I actually like it. Namestnikov has been completely invisible and needs a kick start
josh Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I mean, going from a cup contender's top line, to the 4th line wing centered by a rookie on one of the worst teams in the NHL... but the coach obviously knows his shit since he's sitting him for McLeod...
Mistercosmic Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Namestnikov should be either playing in the Top 9 or be out of the lineup. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk

phillyb Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 FireAV Lol! Namestnikov should be either playing in the Top 9 or be out of the lineup. Namestnikov would look great next to Tavares and Marner
-ERIK- Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 McCleod shouldn't even be in the NHL but Names really hasn't shown much which sucks cause he has the skill, maybe this will jump start him.
ThirtyONE Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Namestnikov has had, in my opinion, a pretty poor attitude since the trade. He mailed it in last year and so far this year (preseason+) he hasn’t done anything worth meantioning. McLeod certainly isn’t any kind of answer, but short term, it’s a pretty clear message.
Scott Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 That's insane. Even when not producing he's a very sound hockey player that's very reliable and you can plug in anywhere. McCleod is fucking garbage. Fire Quinn he sucks!! On a serious note I think this speaks volumes about what they think of Names. Didn't take long to end up in the dog house. Hopefully he can crawl out of it. I kind of doubt it but time will tell. I'm with ThirtyOne on the attitude, he was clearly pissed when he was told to serve the too many men penalty. I think his opinion of where he should be in the lineup and Quinn's are polar opposite at this early stage.
fletch Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 this is the free game on nhl.com if you live outside NYC metro
4EverRangerFrank Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Message sent. Message heard? Team-wise...just give us good effort every night and we?ll be entertained. Show some visible signs of learning by not repeating coverage mistakes and we?ll be happy. This is a ?let the chips fall where they may? year. Grab a cold beer or two and enjoy some hockey.
Gravesy Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 I think it?s fine. The Howden line was playing 4 on 5 the entire game the other night. Obviously McLeod is weapons grade shit, but Namestnikov deserves to watch this from the stands.
Phil Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Obviously McLeod is weapons grade shit, but Namestnikov deserves to watch this from the stands. Fuck. This is quote-in-sig worthy posting. Well done. Rep when I'm back at a computer. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Giacomin Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 Pretty certain he was penciled on the 2nd or 3rd line to start the season. Then in the final preseason game he had that stupid giveaway resulting in a key goal against, while Vesey turned it on. He got 4th line duty, then as a good defensive player he is probably not used to going to the box and reacts. We got time, not giving up on him after one game, where he was at least better than Buch, Shatty or Staal.
Pete Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 It's not one game. It's every game since he got here, except 1.
